Zone and Read Option on offense, QB runs alot... FAST FAST FAST skill players, big strong line. Last year they were about 50/50 run pass... this year more around 65/35 run to pass. Multiple looks on defense. Cobble at DT, Tennyson at DE, WIlson and Patterson cleaning everything up at LB, and fast DB's to pursue outside.

Exactly how did he try to get "his team going first"? Fugate gained all but 15-20 yards of Breathitt's total yards? He is a running back... it isn't like he was the one passing the ball or handing it off. Considering Fugatewas around the 00 yard mark at Halftime... if he was trying to get his team going it DEFINATELY would not have been first, but later. Considering Breathitt and Fugate scored THE ONLY trip they took into the redzone, and saying he should have scored 2 more TD's... then are you also saying Belfry should have scored 6 more TD's as well on the posessions they turned it over or had a drive stall in Breathitt territory?

Lonewolf is the president of the Channing Fugate fan club...go back to last week's Belfry vs. Breathitt thread and prepare for even more of it this week. But one correction, Fugate is their HB, not a FB.

Agreed... plus Breathitt made their fair share of costly mistakes too. Belfry was very fotunate to only be down 14-3 at the half as BC had a TD called back on a penalty and also what would have been a huge gain on a pass negated with a drop. The Bobcats played thier butts off and had a fantastic gameplan that they stock with all night. It is no easy feat to slow down Belfry's interior, let alone pretty much shut it down like they did tonight. Championship teams make big plays when they need them, especially on defense.. and Breathitt did that tonight! Hats off from a loyal belfry fan for earning your trip to Louisville!

I will be pulling for the Bobcats, but it is going to be a task beating Central.

Fugate was amazing... but it was Breathitt's team defense which won this game, coupled with some great blocking.

Fantastic player... definately the best RB in EKY. Great size, balance, and vision.

-Breathitt's defense stepped up huge. They held Lee to just over 60 yards on 20+ carries... they shut down the middle. They forced key turnovers and made key stops. - Pirates held Breathitt to less than 30 total yards in 2nd Half and absolutely dominated T.O.P, but key turnovers and the decision to kick for one instead of 2 was huge. - Channing Fugate is a beast! He gained over all but 15 of Breathitt's total yards and had a key INT.

Belfry 60 carries, 308 yards Breathitt 24 carries, 224 yards Haddix 2/5 15 yards Fugate 17 carries, 210 yards, 2 TD Belfry 323 yards, 4 Turnovers BC 225 yards.. only 25 yards in 2nd half... 1 Turnover Recap: 1st Quarter - Belfry recovered the opening kickoff after it took a backwards bounce at the 15 of BC. Pirates them promptly fumbled in redzone. - Channing Fugate ran for 81 yards for a TD, 7-0 Breathitt - Belfry drive quickly and Varney makes a nice gain into redzone and coughs it up as he is going down - Teams trade posessions, Breathitt has a TD pass called back on a penalty. 7-0 Breathitt 2nd Quarter -Belfry continues drive and get it to BC 8, end up kicking a 25 yard field goal. 7-3 BC. - Breathitt starts drive in good field position and quickly drive it behind Fugate and cap it with 17 yard touchdown. BC 14-3. - Belfry holds and drives into redzone and turns it over on downs - Breathitt kills the clock on the half. HALFTIME 14-3 BC 3rd Quarter -Teams trade posessions - Belfry begins a major drive at end of quarter BC 14-3 4th quarter - Belfry culminates drive as Lee scores from 5 yards out, choose to kick XP instead of go for 2 and cut lead to 3. - Pirates hold Breathitt to 3 and Out, get ball back and drive to BC 23 - Elkins throws INT in end zone to Fugate, he is tackled at own 2 yard line with around 3:00 to go. - Belfry forces another 3 and out and BC takes a delay of game penalty... punt is blocked in endzone and goes over end line, BC 14-12 w/ 2:00 left -Belfry field free kick up to 47.. quickly drive to 30 yard line. - Pirates fumble snap and Breathitt runs out the clock FINAL

Belfry with 3 costly fumbles and an INT.. Pirates committ four turnovers inside the Breathitt 30 yard line, as wellas turn the ball over on downs. Belfry blocked a punt to cut the lead to 14-12 w/ 2:00 remianing. Belfry drove into BC territory with ease and fumbled the snap at 1:30 left sealing their fate.

Great game for Bobbcats as they survive a Belfry comeback.
