  1. They definitely have the potential to win..What is wrong with the twins?
  2. You have to throw Walton-Verona into the mix as a top contender as well, along with Lauren Hargett as one of the top players.
  3. Lauren Hargett from Walton-Verona will be playing in the junior game. McKenzie Garcia was asked to play in the senior game but will be out of town. Should be two good games.
  4. Carroll-be interesting to see who does the scoring without Ballinger..They have the guard in Girdy to get the ball up the court but needs a supporting cast. Gallatin-good young team, Ballsinger will be back from injury. No seniors next year, could put a good team together. Trimble-lost a great shooter in Schirmer..Miller provides a great inside presence..Stewart's daughter provides a scoring threat..Have some young guards that can play..summer improvement will be a big key for them..Home court advantage. Walton-Garcia's graduation leaves a hole in the middle..They have some young posts that could step up..Heeger is a good shooter..Hargett will be the leader of the team and the bulk scorer, but they need others to step up and contribute with Garcia gone. Williamstown-loaded with young talent, could be the sleeper in this tournament..I look for them to make it to the championship. Eminence-too young to compete Prediction (worth about 2 cents)-Walton vs. Williamstown in final with Walton making it to Richmond.
  5. I heard Lance resigned after taking the job..What's the latest news in Dry Ridge?
  6. Posted on KHSAA website. Montgomery County — Job Title: Head Girls Basketball Coach Montgomery HS is looking for an individual to fill this position. Head coaching experience preferred. Must be a member of the certified staff. Such additional qualifications as the Superintendent or Board may find appropriate and acceptable. Stating it must be a member of the certified staff didn't really leave room for outside people to apply.
  7. The rule is you can play in 2 before school lets out..KY/IN is in the summer so she is still eligible to play in it.
  8. Great that a charity benefits from it. Played in the game and absolutely loved it! My uniform hangs in my office to this day. At the time I played it was partially sponsored by McDonalds so I just went to my local one for support. It has definitely grown since back in the day and hopefully it will continue to grow. No pressure for tryouts and an honor to be asked to play. Everyone that can needs to make an effort to go and support these young women and men.
  9. For a change this year votes for Miss Basketball are not actually due until after the state tournament.
  10. Sorry, typo on my part..I meant she refereed the championship game.
  11. Marla Gearhart called a very good state tournament and was given the opportunity to coach in the championship game.
  12. Clarification of how all stars for this game were picked. All votes are for seniors. KABC Player of the Year gets an automatic bid (Fortman), then the next highest vote getter gets to play as well (Terry). Each person that pays the $15.00 KABC membership gets to vote for player of the year. So lets say all of your coaches, Varsity, JV, Freshmen and then 8th and 7th grade pay, they are allowed to vote. If one school has at least 5 votes they are more than likely going to vote for their own player. Then you could always pay membership for your scorekeeper and statistician if you wanted as well and get a couple of more votes. I would think Terry and Queen split some votes and Queen just ended up on the short stick.
  13. You're right Super B..I see what u mean..The teams in the bottom must be pretty happy that they can avoid Simon and Shelby til the final..Good luck to all teams.
