I have heard some stories of his locker room antics. We all know he is a complete jerk, so I'm sure he was somewhat "abusive" to his players behind closed doors.
-
PP at 6''7 or 6''8 cannot shoot outside 10-15 feet. Plain and simple. Unless he turns into a Ben Wallace or develop a shot I don't think he'd fit well in the NBA at all.
I don't see him turning into a defensive machine like Big Ben.
-
Let him loose please.
-
He can be much more than a bench player before he's done.
Obviously, but I meant right away. He won't be a starter as soon as he gets there, but he will contribute a lot off the bench and eventually be one of the teams top players if he does go there and stays all 4 years.
-
Hood can be a very solid bench player for Kentucky, I would hate to see him go elsewhere seeing he is a Kentucky boy.

AS a Dukie, I don't like either one of them. I respect them both, but they have both choked throughout their respective carers. People say with all the talent that Dean had he should have won more. The same can be said for Roy, he had a heck of a team loaded with talent when Paul Pierce was there and he still didn't win. He had to go back to UNC to even win a title and he went through loads of talent and chokes at Kansas.
With no Dean, there is no Roy, just like without Bobby Knight, there is no Coach K.
I say edge to Dean, for the time being.
For the record, Coach K does have more titles than both men.
Coach K-3
Dean-2
Roy-2
for those keeping score at home.......
Coach K is a joke. OK not really, but I can't stand the man or the Duke program and I never will.

I sure hope he doesn't try, because he isn't near ready and he will just be coming right back to Lexington.

Put on some baby blue Wall and get it over with.
I wish he would.
I agree... :thumb:Wall is a One and done, no matter where he lands.
Yes he is. I wouldn't mind seeing him dominate the ACC for just a year though.
-
He may or may not be telling truth, but here is a direct quote:
"North Carolina is not recruiting me now."
- John Wall
Well I don't really see him heading to Carolina, but I would love for him to. That would be a great fit for him, we all have seen how Roy is with his point guards.
-
I would say the expectations are going to be high. I'm sure most will want 25-28 wins, and at least an Elite 8 appearance.
-
Billy G at Xavier would be interesting.
-
Did you also read that Roy has NOT called him since?
Actually didn't see that. The point is he called him during the most important time of his season, that would impress me very much. More than anything actually.
-
It's a tough call for me. I love both men, they were both great coaches, and recruiters, and they have both won a many of big games. I loved how Dean coached, and I love how Roy coaches and treats his kids. I would take Roy right now. I love Dean to death, he is one of the greatest coaches of all time, but Roy has already posted a very impressive career and it's only to get better, much better.
-
I would love it and I would have an even higher respect for Roy's ability...
That would be an amazing sign for Carolina to top off an already impressive class. Roy has a great ability to recruit and lure kids into his system.
Forgive me if I don't completely trust a news article that says he's trimmed his list to 6, then gives 7 schools. Also, didn't Roy Williams call him after the championship game? That alone tells me all that I need to know.
What happens remains to be seen. I'm not claiming to have any inside knowledge or sources. I'm just saying that, right now, as a top guard, it'd be hard not to listen when North Carolina & Roy Williams calls.
Add that to the fact that Wall has reportedly expressed interest in staying close to home, and I think you've got a great match.
I did read that Roy gave him a call during the Final Four. If I were a player and a coach like Roy Williams called me at any time, especially during the Final Four, that would impress me very, very much.
And didn't NC already sign the #3 PG in 2009 class, in Dexter Strickland?Yes. Strickland can and will help Carolina out, but Wall would just be amazing.
yes they did, and I don't think Wall will be a Heel, but it would be nice.I hope he does.
-
:thumb: I don't see it happening. Looks like Roy has got in too late to be a real contender, but if he was able to snatch up Wall in such a short time, wow...
Roy is the man who could snatch him up in a short time. Carolina would be a great fit for him, and I'm sure he would love playing for him.

Ed Davis from Carolina
Cunningham from Nova
Suton from Mich. State
Austin Daye(I think that's how you spell it) from Zaga
-
Good fit for him, he is a nice young and rising coach who will only get better.
I do wonder what will happen to that interim coach, I don't even know his name. He should land somewhere, he isn't to bad a coach.
-
Billy G at Memphis would be interesting.

Looks like Louisville is in trouble.
