  1. Why is everyone so quick to put this guy down? Trevor is getting the chance to play major D-1 basketball. If some of you were offered a chance to do something that you dreamed about ever since you were a kid, you wouldn't appreciate it if other people bashed you either.

Trevor is 6-8 and a STUD shooter. He just needs to live in the weight room and put on some weight and get stronger, which I am sure he will do while there. He will be fine, and I wouldn't be surprised if he became a contributor on that team before everything is said and done.

    Hmmmm...now that is something.

I just don't see how some see this. I am not bashing the kid at all, he is a great shooter and can score well, but come on guys. This is the Big 12, this is Oklahoma State, have you saw the guys on that team?? Or in the conference??I will say you are right about one thing, living in the weight room. He better put a nice comfy bed in the back and a fridge because he will literally have to live there for the next 7 months if he wants to contribute for OK State.

I think he would do well at an EKU, Murray State, or somewhere like that. He isn't going to do much at OK State, but that's just me. If he proves me wrong so be it, but I doubt that will happen. I sure hope he does, he is a KY boy getting to play for a major program outside of the state. I just don't see it guys..

  2. Please explain. For a walk-on, he's good enough.

Sure, a walk on who will play in a total of 15 games in his entire career. He is skinny as a rail, or at least the last time I saw him. He might have dominated at Mason County, but what did he do at G'Town? He red shirted. Now I don't know if he had injuries, problems off the court, or what, but if he is red shirted at G'Town then I doubt the kid will do much good at any big time D-1 program, especially OK State now that Ford has arrived and has an already good looking class coming in.

  3. I hope he comes to WKU. I love when they steal the in state boys, but I also love when a highly touted kid from out of the state in a big area like Jersey picks a school like WKU, Morehead, EKU, etc, etc.

  4. If you get the worst of the two, Henry IMO, then it's still a huge sign for Kentucky and he will help them out tremendously. Obviously if you get Wall then you are in very, very good shape. At least for one year. If you do in fact get both, then you are set and could see 30+ wins before it's even March Madness...

    j/k...........

This is true, this isn't a joke.

Here as of late I have saw/heard/been around more UK fans than I have been able to see in the last 2-4 years. It's amazing where they have all went to hide, then come out into the light once they get elite an coach and a stacked recruiting class. It has been amazing to see this, and I know it will only grow and get worse and worse. Much worse..

  6. It's going to be interesting to see if the true freshman QB at LSU starts. That kid is lightning quick! Okl St, Ole M are good sleeper teams. I really think if UK gets some offense they will be really good this year. Not saying top 5 but I do think they will be in the top 25 at least.

Just don't see that happening. I see them going 5-7, 6-6 at best.

  7. Wall is a difference-maker. If he is a Wildcat, they automatically become a really good team.

I agree. He is a heck of a player who can really do it all. He will really put UK back on the map, even if it's for one year.

  8. Well, not arguing but barring some kind of trouble, Darryl Clark is back for Penn State at QB. I still think OSU will be better than PSU, but their recruiting class is really overrated. It is number one on scout because of how many players they brought in, not the quality. Alot of the players are a really over valued. Take RB Jamal Berry for example. I don't know how he made the UA All-America game, there really are alot better RB prospects out there. I know he's listed at like a 4.4 40 yd. dash but he doesn't play that fast. Trust me, he's from Florida, and there is a reason he isn't at UF, FSU or Miami, they didn't want him. He was recruited by FSU and UF, but not hard. All of the Florida Big 3 decided they would rather battle it out for the 2010 studs in Florida such as Eduardo Clements, Jahkiri Gore and a boat load of others. Home town UMiami didn't even offer or come close to offering and they are no where set at RB. You slap a OSU (or many other schools) scholarship on a player and then watch him shoot up the recruiting boards. Duron Carter is very overrated IMO, I think he would benefit being moved to TE (6-3, 4.66) if he would put on weight. I will say this though, Marcus Hall is a beast, he will be a major player.

And for OSU to become a true top 5 team Pryor has to become a passer. He isn't there yet as Texas, Penn State, and USC proved. You can light up Purdue and Northwestern all day, but really elite teams make you be accurate. Pryor is a special athlete, but in the bowl game he struggled to complete screen passes. I think Ohio State will have a good season, but their top 5 dreams will end after USC comes to town. USC is reloading and will be young, but the Bucks and the rest of the Big 10 has proven they don't have the speed to play with the elite teams in the country.

My mistake, I thought Clark had left. Clark is a big difference maker for PSU, but I still think they have lost to much for even him to save them. I think PSU will be the 2nd, or 3rd best team in the conference, but I believe OSU will have a solid year with at least 10 or 11 regular season wins.

IMO the recruiting class is very, very solid from top to bottom.

Dorian Bell and Corey Brown could be studs right away after what OSU lost at their positions.

I don't think Berry is overrated really, over 1,000 yards and 14 TD's in 10 games is pretty impressive as a junior. He will be a nice backup back for the Bucks. Also he was offered by Florida, Ole Miss, Florida State, Clemson, and West Virginia.

Duron isn't a big time WR prospect IMO, but he can fit in well with the Buckeye offense. I believe he can produce good numbers as a true freshman, and only get better. He was also offered by Auburn and West Virginia, and looked at by UF.

Guys like Cris Fields, a solid WR who could be a sleeper in the class, James Jackson, a very good athlete who can run it and catch it, Storm Klein, a very underrated linebacker recruit IMO can really play and ran for 1,800 yards and 28 TD's in 2006, and Zach Boren, a good athlete who could play multiple spots. Those guys can come in and help and produce as freshman and only grow and get better and better.

The class might not be the best in the country, but Tress got his moneys worth and brought in a lot of young guys who will all do their part in helping the Buckeyes get back to a national title.

    1. Florida

    2.Texas

    3. Oklahoma

    4. Ole Miss

    5. Alabama

USC- until they prove to me they can go undefeated in the Pac 10 I won't put them in my top 5 again.

Penn State- Has some potential but they play in the Big 10

Ohio State- If there ever was a football team overrated year in and year out it's Ohio State.

Please. Not many teams can complete a run like they have had over the past 4-5 years. Sure the blowout loss to UF looks horrible, the LSU loss, but they almost took down a Texas team who happened to beat Oklahoma a year ago, the only team to do so in the regular season. Surely enough if OSU had been to 5 straight title games and won 3 of them, the other 2 losses would result in them being overrated. I bet if they were in the SEC and they lost those title games and the one a year ago they wouldn't be close to overrated.

  9. He would have been 1 or 2 on the list if he played even 3 years, IMO.

Yes, I agree. I would love for another Rex Chapman to come along, I highly doubt it will though, and if so it will be for some time. Maybe that's just me though, I like a good player like Rex, so I could be very, very wrong. I have been before

  10. Way too early, but I guess Lunardi has to make himself feel important.

Either way, he has no clue. Syracuse a #1 seed without Harris, Devendorf, and Flynn? Yeah, right......

I agree, Joe Joe kills me in all honesty.

But for me just taking a shot at it, I highly doubt the Cuse being anywhere near a 1 seed. They will lose around 7-10 games in the Big East, possibly more with those guys leaving. Their best shot is a 8-12 seed IMO.

Minnesota should get a higher seed than a 9 IMO.

Pretty much Joe is a moron, the season ended a week ago and here he has his next four in and next four out

  11. Hood deserved this award and I wish him well at Kentucky. He should contribute right away off the bench for the Cats, the kid is very skilled. As for his career, I'm sure he will have a dandy one. That's what I hope for anyways.

As for the rankings, I like them. Only complaints is move Chapman and Minniefield up.

  12. I would put Penn St. over Ohio St.

Penn State lost a big part of their team from the QB and WR spots IMO. Sure they will return some talent and they will compete, and I do believe they are a sleeper, but Ohio State is returning some key guys and some in their freshman class who will help almost immediately.

    Florida

    USC

    Oklahoma

    Texas

    Alabama

sleepers: Oregon, Ole Miss, Penn State.

Ohio State is going to be down IMO, Pryor is a freak athlete, but he can't complete a 5 yard curl, accurately without lolli-popping it. And they are just losing too much to really be considered top 5, I would have them around 11 or 12. I look for Penn State to win the Big Ten again next season, or possibly even Illinois, they had a poor season last year, but I think that D will be much improved and Juice and Benn should lead a darn good Offense. USC gets my nod over Oklahoma at 2 because OU is losing 4 of 5 Offensive Linemen and USC is returning 8 or 9 starters on offense and USC never really has to rebuild, they simply reload. I think the QB situation will be a non-factor, Mustain is a proven commodity, Corp was highly rated as well as Barkley.

Pryor is a freak athlete and the Bucks lost a lot on defense, but they also return a lot of key guys who will help them on both sides of the ball. They are also bringing in one heck of a recruiting class full of guys who will come in and contribute right off the bat. I don't think the Bucks are a top 3 team, but I do think they are a legitimate top 5 team or close to it. Also Illinois should win around 7-8 games, nothing major. They were down, down, down, a year ago and I don't see them climbing out of that hole this soon. Zook is a great coach and has a great QB, sure the D might return a lot, but I don't think they will be able to handle PSU or OSU, and maybe some other solid teams in that league.

  13. It's early but this is my outlook on it.

We are 1-3. Sure it's early, but don't dig the hole and cover it up so soon. I know this can be turned around quick, but come on Reds. We should be 2-2 at least, or why not 3-1?

Dusty has shown he can't manage this team. I like him a lot, but he just can't coach these guys. Why cut Gomes? Did something go down with him? Injury, what? Why start McDonald at center?? Call Gomes up please. And why get rid of Keppinger?? Sure we have a many of infielders, but why not let Janish go down to Triple A? That was a dumb move IMO.

Owings was a nice pickup for us, but we need that 1 solid pitcher to get us over the hump. I thought Bailey was it, but he got rocked the other day in the minors.

My starting lineup would look like this.

    1. Jerry Hairston

    2. Brandon Phillips

    3. Joey Votto

    4. Jay Bruce

    5. Edwin

    6. Nix/Dickerson

    7. Taveras

    8. Hernandez

    9. Pitcher

Pretty much it looks like we have another long season ahead of us. I hope we don't, but Dusty is making it seem like it.

  14. LeBron is amazing. I love watching him play, his style is something I haven't seen in some time. I'm tired of the "Kobe is better" junk, because IMO he isn't. Kobe is an amazing player, he is. But LeBron is dominating with half the team Kobe has. Sure he plays in the East, but the East has 3 of the top teams in the NBA. Kobe does have to go against the West, which is the best from top to bottom, but LeBron does it all. His numbers are amazing, and he does it with a team like Cleveland. You take Kobe off the Lakers, they could still win around 44-48 games a year, LeBron off the Cavs, they win about 32-36 games a year.
