  1. Just trying to see what kind of fans we have out here:

Who is your favorite (specific) team of all time?

    Favorite Player of all-time?

    Favorite/Best Coach?

    Least favorite program?

    Least favorite player?

    Best (specific) team of all-time?

Favorite player that played for your favorite teams rival?

Best moment/game that involved your team(s)

Most heartbreaking defeat for your team in your opinion?

Favorite team - 2002 Ohio State Buckeyes

Player of all time - Santonio Holmes

Favorite coach/best coach - Woody Hayes

    Least favorite team - Michigan

    Least favorite player - Tebow

Best team of all time - 2005 USC(even if they didn't win the NC)

Never liked a single player on my teams rival.

Best moment - Will Allen's pick to seal the deal against Michigan in '02

Biggest heartbreak - Florida kicking our teeth in

  2. CP3? C'mon Spikes. No one in this draft is anywhere near CP3 in terms of ability.

CP3 has a chance to be one of the 50 greatest players ever, I don't think Flynn can even be a top 50 player in the current league.

If he means whenever Paul was coming out of college, I can see where he is coming from. Paul wasn't an amazing player while at Wake, and Flynn wasn't amazing while at the Cuse. Their college games are very similar, but as for the NBA I doubt Flynn will equal Paul. It isn't out of his reach though..

  3. I'll take Lofton any day. Lofton had a way better college career, Meeks came onto the scene this past season, Lofton had a solid career from his freshman to senior year. As for the pro game, I'll take Lofton again. His game just fits the NBA, while to me Meeks' doesn't. Not downing Jodie or anything like that, that's just how I see it.

  4. Bad sign when a return by EE to the lineup is being hailed as (part of) the cure to what ails the Reds. I would think Arroyo might still bring something of value on the open market and wouldn't mind seeing the Reds put him out there.

He could. I know a lot of teams around the league who wouldn't mind giving up a solid bat, and a prospect for Arroyo, Homer, and Dickerson.

A team that comes to mind, the Baltimore Orioles. What about Luke Scott? .314, 14 homers, 36 RBI.

  5. According to ESPN, http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?page=FreeAgents-09-10 , that's the free agents list for the upcoming year. This is what I would like to see from the top four teams I really cheer for.

    The Knicks

Go after a big name player. Not LeBron, it's seems to out of reach to me. Go for a guy like Tracy McGrady, Amare Stoudemire, or Chris Bosh. I'm sure the Knicks could cut a deal for one of those guys, and then have a solid pick in the draft if they don't trade it away.

    The Cavs

Please, please, please, trade big Z and Wally. Bron should stay in Cleveland, so land him a solid big guy, and a solid wingman to go along with him and Mo. I could see the Cavs going for Shaq, which is what I heard. Maybe a trade that would sent Z, Wally, some cash, or a draft pick, and get him. I wouldn't mind throwing West in there as well, since I would much rather have Booby Gibson getting more minutes than Delonte. As for the wingman, I wouldn't mind seeing the Cavs sign Bruce Bowen, or Richard Jefferson.

    The Nuggets

Bring in two solid bench guys. The starting five will be among the best in the league next season, just adding two more nice bench players would skyrocket this team IMO. Start Billups, Smith, Melo, Martin, and Nene, then bring Anderson and Jones off the bench. Then sign someone like Kurt Thomas, DeShawn Stephenson, Chuck Hayes, or Kelenna Azubuike. Two of those four would be huge bench additions, and could battle for starting spots.

    The Bobcats

Bring in two solid guys, and this is a playoff team without a doubt. They need to keep Bell and Radmanovic. I would go after guys like Speedy Claxton, Roger Mason, Steve Blake, and John Salmons. Not big name players, but guys who can really play well and could shine in a place like Charlotte.

  6. Neither is Pryor so I didn't know. Pryor gets alot of love because of OSU and how highly rated he was, but nothing he did last year warrants top 5 IMO. He had plenty of talent around him, and well didn't do great against the top competition the Bucks faced.

Give me Tebow, Bradford, McCoy, Snead, Robinson, Darryl Clark, Massoli from Oregon, Reesing at Kansas, Robert Griffin at Baylor, Nesbitt at Georgia Tech, Dalton from TCU, Grothe at USF, and thats off the top of my head. I would also take Juice Williams at Illinois. Tyrod Taylor and Pryor are the same QB. So far from Pryor I see a very good prospect, but he hasn't warranted top 5 praise. He has great size and tools and is a good runner, but he doesn't have the speed to be a Pat White and is not a good passer by any stretch of the imagination. He may really turn it on this season, but just going by last year I say no.

Tebow, Bradford, McCoy, Robinson, Snead. Those are the only five I would put over him out of your list. Taylor and Pryor are the same QB?? Wow, I hope that's sarcasm man.

    Taylor in 2008 - 1,036 passing yards, 2 TD's, 7 INT's, 738 rushing yards, 7 TD's

    Pryor in 2008 - 1,311 passing yards, 12 TD's, 4 INT's, 631 rushing yards, 6 TD's

Not really the same QB's man. Pryor 10 more TD,s 3 less picks. Taylor has better rushing numbers, but it isn't by much. Those passing stats are what count.

Juice is solid, and he has more experience in him. Pryor will have a great season in 2009, just wait.

  7. You obviously havn't seen Landon play much, and the compairson with Trevor Setty is terrible. There was a reason he didn't play at G-Town last year and it had nothing to do with how good he was and he will be playing for Oklahoma State next year! And if Slone only played 12-16 minutes for EKU then they should look for a new coach.

I actually have seen him play a lot, I believe it's you who hasn't seen him play much. How is the comparison with Setty terrible? I don't think Setty is to great either, but he's the better player between him and Landon Slone. Yeah, Landon Slone isn't anywhere close to Mike Rose's league, if you know who that is. Rose was one of the most underrated players in the COUNTRY this season, so you really think the Kentucky boy Mr. Slone would have stole minutes from him???

I don't know that they didn't make him an offer. Arkansas and UK were willing to let him play for them so do you really think EKU wouldn't have been more than happy to have him. Landon decided early that if UK offered (even a walk-on role) he would be playing for them, regardless of any other offers.

I know why, because he had one good game in front of one big crowd, and that game and that crowd happened to be Rupp Arena. If Slone scored 15-18 points on J'Town that night, he would have probably signed with Pikeville College, maybe Cumberland. Dude, have you seen some of the walk on's UK has let play over the years? Please.

My understanding is that Slone didn't have a Division I scholarship offer. Morehead certainly declined to make him one.

    That's my understanding as well.

I'm almost certain he had some D-1 offers, but with DT's history of not recruiting a lot of Kentucky boys it doesn't surprise me that MSU didn't offer him.

Oh gosh, as someone has already stated he has KY boys on his roster, and he got Ty Profitt from Notre Dame.

I know for sure that he had a D-1 offer from Marshall and Georgetown College also offered. He was considering both schools but couldn't resist the chance to play for the Cats.

No way Marshall offered him. Marshall signed Matt Walls, which is an a lot better player than Slone, and I know they didn't offer Landon. Happy might have offered him a walk on spot. Have you seen G'Town play? THOSE GUYS ARE FREAKS. Landon would be lucky to be a water boy down there.

  8. So are Gerald McCoy, Jerry Hughes and George Selvie.

Suh is a top 3 prospect, he's ahead of Selvie, and I'd say McCoy too.

Was that sarcasm? Nothing Tyrod Taylor has shown the last two years warrants him being a top 5 QB. Especially this year, when the position is so top heavy.

Yes it was sarcasm, are you kidding me? Taylor isn't close to Zac Robinson, and he's #5.

  9. Those are all great names, but all unatainable.

Lee isn't getting traded inside the division

Swisher isn't going anywhere from New York unless it is for a marquee type player in a multi-player deal

& Cuddyer will stay in Minnesota unless we are willing to trade someone like Yonder Alonso for him (the Twins would love that).

My ideal trades for one of those three.

Send Edwin, Homer, and Alonso to Houston for Lee and a prospect.

Send Edwin, Dickerson, and a solid prospect to the Yanks for Swisher. If they wanted more throw in another solid prospect aside from Alonso.

Send Homer and Dickerson, and a prospect to Minnesota for Cuddyer.

Those would be good trade offers to all three clubs, and I could see one of them going down. Make this move Reds!!

Yeah, Lee is a big time hitter, and with that comes big time $$$. Cuddyer is off to a nice start but he doesn't have a history of being a big time, reliable hitter. You couldn't give me Swisher and his .225 average. I've never seen the obsession people have with him. He hit .219 with 24 hr's and 69 rbi's last year and .262 with 22 hr's and 78 RBI's the year before. He isn't worth the money.

I think the current platoon will give as much or more production than Cuddyer or Swisher in a years time. I'd like to see them go after Holliday. He got off to a rough start, but is creeping back up now. The A's will be looking to deal him in July, IMO. He was a great hitter in Denver, and I think GABP would be a nice launching pad for him too.

We could give up Edwin, and two solid prospects and get Lee IMO.

Cuddyer is a solid OF, who may be 30, but has a solid bat. He would be a great fit for us right now.

Swisher is a solid OF who any team in baseball would love to have. To say you couldn't give him to me is pretty stupid. Sorry..

Also, you took shots at Swisher, what's Holiday doing any better?

    Holiday - .267 average, 6 HR, 28 RBI, .359 OBP, .422 SLG, .781 OPS

    Swisher - .222 average, 9 HR, 27 RBI, .363 OBP, .486 SLG, .849 OPS

The avg's are the only big difference, and I'll give Holiday that. But Swisher is the better overall player. Would love having them both, but if I had to choose I'd take Nick.

  10. [/b]

You are kidding right? He would be a star at either of those schools.

Holy cow, your joking right? If he didn't have the game of his life in Rupp against J'Town, he wouldn't have been on either of those two teams. Well maybe he would have, but as a walk on. Trevor Setty, who is much more talented than Slone, seen zero minutes and red shirted at G'Town. Slone would see about 12-16 minutes at EKU next year, but I'm not so sold on that.
