All the RPI is going to accomplish is, the historically good football programs will have to start playing out-of-state teams to fill their schedule. Mark my words.
As for the location of the games, this is a direct result of playing a weaker schedule to try to play at home in the playoffs. Some do it. Some don't.
Fairview will travel five miles to Raceland to open district play. The Rams are 4-2 with loses to Ashland and Highlands while winning versus Letcher County Central, NCC, Hazard and knocking off, then number one, Pikeville.
Fairview comes in 1-6 with their only victory coming against Green (OH).
Who wins this district opening for these two teams?
Hey, I’m fine with us calling Ashland number 5. I just think they are better. I said this in the preseason. Many don’t think them Better. We will all find out soon enough.
