The 02 game (I believe that is the right year) was actually won by Miaimi for a few seconds but after the game I guess the ref realized he had to do something so he threw a flag for a phantom pass interference call. 6 titles.

Actually, it was defensive holding, not pass interference.

Secondly, the Buckeyes shocked the world that night, winning as huge underdogs to a stacked Miami team.

All OSU haters bring that play up, but you know what, it's in the books and that's all that matters.

Check out the Reds. They've been playing good ball as of late and are young & energetic. Corey Patterson has been clutch the past 2 games. Strange isn't it?

The Reds always play good when the season is meaningless, building up false hope and overrated ratings for the following year. I think they had the second best record in the second half last year. I'm just not going to say anything until i see it because it happens too much.

I don't know about anyone else but it feels that way for me. The Bengals have just taken any pleasure I got out of watching a NFL game. I just get this feeling of "disgust/jealousy/numbness" whenever I watch other teams.

 

The Bengals aren't getting any better anytime soon. It's week 3 and the Bengals are out of the playoffs.

I agree, although its been like this my whole life with the exception of 2005 (the best year of my life by far) when we made the playoffs. I have gotten to the point where the weekends literally determine my attitude on the week with OSU and the Bungles. I just try to stay positive and hope for the best.

Nothing will ever change in Cincinnati until Mike Brown passes away or steps down for some reason. This is one of the most poorly ran organizations in the HISTORY of professional sports. Many are blaming Marvin, but how can a man run a team when he is being undermined on every decision that he makes. The Chris Henry signing is a perfect example. There is not one bright spot on this team right now and they play uninspired selfish football because they have no leader.

I have been a season ticket holder for nearly a decade now and have been an avid Bengals fan my whole life but my patience is running extremely thin after the first two showings of the year.

As in the same cases with Carl Pickens and Corey Dillon. The Bengals will do nothing and will outwait Chad until we have to rebuild our entire team again. Its very frustrating, being a long time Bengal fan and not seeing anything change in the front office.

This was one of the many rumors that I had heard. However, on the 11 o'clock news the WKU administration put to sleep all of the rumors about Bob Knight coming to BG.

Bobby knight was flew into Glasgow last night by one of the big contributors to WKU. The reason he was flown into Glasgow was because of the rumors and buzz surrounding his arrival. It has been said that he just wants to stay at Western until he reaches 1000 wins as a head coach, he wants a membership at Old Stone, and a 1 million dollar salary. There are many other rumors flying around but this is what is being said around town. It really is starting to look like a possibility that The General will be wearing another red sweater before it is all said and done.

The word I'm hearing from numerous reliable sources is that Bobby Knight is a serious candidate for the job at WKU. I've also heard Sean Sutton's name thrown around as well.

I'm sure that he would take the job, but shouldn't he be concerned about what happened to Dennis Felton at UGA when he left WKU. It's very hard to win and meet expectations at bottom feeding SEC schools in this day and age.

Actually, I had heard that the heat was on Horn this year to make it to the Tourney. He has had MUCH better teams in the past and just couldn't win the big game (or beat South Alabama). He is a great coach and I think he could be gone as well.

Love the Bengals, been a life long fan. When Mike Brown is out, whenever that may be, that's when we start winning.

Lowry is out until the end of April. Garland would be a nice adddition.

In either scenario, I just hope the Bengals don't take Phil Merling from Clemson just to take a DL. Cedric Ellis has to be our priority and if he's not there, we trade down.

Not that I fully agree with WKU, but in fairness, they are not trying to recruit 1-AA kids anymore. The Commonwealth produces very little major 1-A talent and WKU is still trying to make a name for themselves with the big boys. Recruiting inroads in these talent filled states will do a lot better for their long term success, by building credibility, than trying to appease the locals.

Very well said. There is not much D1 talent in the state, that is the bottom line. Recruiting KY boys just for the sake of recruiting them gets the program nowhere, especially in the critical transition period that they are in.
