What makes me angry is that people make bogus accusations. That's alright though. This is the stuff that drives this team anyway. The Russell players will see it in their eyes on friday.

The financial reasoning has been explained. Just keep slamming them for using two buildings to try and keep from overcrowding.

They also wanted the kids together. Keeping all of the students seperated would not have helped with the merger. Like stated earlier this wasn't welcomed with open arms in the community. This TEAM has brought a divided community together.

If you are familiar with the area which I believe you are it will be located on 78 acres between King middle and Mercer elementary and baywest and trim masters inc.

Yeah, they are going to do some shuffling to try and cut down on the bussing back and forth. The new school will be ready for 2008.

This is the best situation for the kids here so that's what they did. They needed the space for the extra 200 kids. Like I stated the Harrodsburg teachers were merged with Mercer's as well. So with the extra classes they are able to offer they need the space. This is why they are building such a large school for all the other academic opportunities.

There will be replies to this thread consisting of people who have picked us to lose just about every round of the playoffs. Just like their motto this season "We are better together". And so is the MERGED student body. It's hard to understand the situation or know the situation if you don't know the facts. They use both buildings to try and provide the best possible education for the kids. All of the former Harrodsburg staff members were merged with Mercer as well. It's one school system. Would it have made it better if they had kids crowded under one building? Academics is still the #1 priority for the students.

Cmon, have you ever seen a game where the officiating wasn't questionable at times?

I think the points record is out of reach. But, I read on a post that said they needed only 50 yards to break the state rushing record. I'd say that one will fall. I'm a neautral bystander here but I did go to the Mercer game tonight and my impression was that this team is as good as advertized. I've never seen a team on the high school level with that kind of speed. I haven't seen Russell in action this season but, I'm going to say Mercer by a couple of Td's.
