  1. looks inefficient to me on the surface... I wonder what the reasoning was behind this

Come on! We all know the reason! Have you been living under a rock! This is a rock solid way for the people in that room to make sure there is no way Trinity, St. X and Male will never play one of each other in the 6A State Finals...

  2. Let's remember one thing: in 2005, first game was X 48-16; second (championship) game was T 14-6. Let's stay focused.

You make a good point! And I am very aware that X will be a much better team when the playoffs begin than the one we saw on Friday night. BUT! Trinity's coaching and versitile style of play will not allow the same thing to happen as it did to St. X in 2005. It does give tiger fans some hope.

  3. Seneca has a very good quarterback and quality skilled players sprinkled over the offense and defense. The Trinity coaching staff will have the Rocks well prepared to produce a district win IMHO. The score should be closer than the X game do to the style of play Seneca brings to the table. Coach Beatty does not allow his players to look back or forward... he just focuses on the present week of preparation... as we say, “one game at a time”! Seneca will have a hard time handling the multidimensional offense and speed of Trinity. Score: Rocks win! 48-20. GO ROCKS! #20!

  4. Congrats to the ROCKS on the beat down they put on the Tigers! I was shocked at the unorganized dysfunctional way that St. X played last night. X has always prided themselves and backed it up with discipline controlled football. They made mistake after mistake all night. This X team is so one dimensional and predicable. Being down 27-0 and running dive plays and stretch play will not get you back into the game against the type of personal that Trinity and Cinn. St. X put on the field. You could tell that the speed of Trinity had St. X on there heals all night. The offensive line gave Travis all night to pick apart the X defense. #14, sophomore, Ryan White was very impressive for the ROCK's on defense and returning punts. Enjoy the win for one more day and then it's time to move on to district games and the playoffs. One game at a time! I know that X will improve, but will it be enough and how much I'm not sure. The broom is in the closet and I don't wear hats to the game... Stay focused ROCKS! Bring home #20!

  5. I was at the game and have my own opinion of the ref calls... I will leave at that! Two talented teams played hard tonight. The Rocks have very, very talented sophomores that have to learn to control there emotions to avoid the deserved personal fouls. Retaliation will always get you caught. T's coaching staff will address these issues with film and in practice this week... Great win! GO ROCKS! #20!

  6. It was a CJ typo! Manual had 20 first down and Trinity had 23. I think people need to be patient with this YOUNG Rocks team. They are learning a lot about themselves in the first half of the season. By year's end, those super sophomore's and junior's will be a year older on the field. Look out!! I have been watching T football for many, many years and the team speed on this team is off the charts. The defensive scheme is new and each game it will get better as the kids play it. Manual played hard... good win for the Rocks! Now it's on to the hardest part of the schedule... Cinn. Elder, Cinn. St. X. This will be a Masters course in Football. Good luck to Manual the rest of the way and GO ROCKS! #20!

  7. Congrats to Josh for becoming the leading scorer in Trinity history and the Rocks on a great win. Josh has to be the front runner for KY Mr. Basketball... Seneca has a great team but Trinity kept the heat on the entire game and wore down the Redhawks in the end. The game was a lot, lot closer than the score shows.

  8. Trinity controlled the whole game. St. X played hard but didn't have an answer for T's depth. X played a box and one on Sewell which slowed the Rock's offense. In the end, Sewell was clearly the best player on the floor as the Rocks pulled away late in the 4th. Overall a very played and officiated game. Congrats to the Rocks on a SWEEP of the Frosh, JV and Varsity. Keep working hard and let's work to get to the Sweet 16.

  9. No surprise to me! Certainly a great coach over the years! Off the field he is a funny guy! But, has not been able to beat T and X with his strange and predictable pressing defense the past 8 years. Also, he has lost some stud players to Scroggins at Central. Plus, in a classless gesture, he even lost the phantom public school championship to Simon Kenton this year. Who payed for that trophy? Moving on to Jeff will allow him to win something else in the future.

  10. Great win for the ROCKS! Eastern has a very good team... what an amazing tournament it has been! Beating Jtown Ballard and Eastern in a 24 hour span. That shows a lot of depth and great coaching. Josh Sewell has to be the front runner for Mr. Basketball! He clearly took over all three games against three of the best teams in the state. Congrats!
