  1. Rock, I'm a lot older than you and seen a lot of football since 1961. Rocks will lose. I get a lot of my info on here. Have a nice Halloween, "mama, don't give out the Butterfingers!"

Alabama, I would guess you might have me by one or two years. Believe me... I know where your coming from. Just had to post it while I was laughing out loud. But there is know way the Rocks loose in the 1st or 2nd round. You should know that!

  2. Congrats Rocks on a senior night win! I commend an over matched Lex Cath team for putting Trinity and St. X on there schedule. I hope the Lex Cath quarterback is OK! It's on to the 3rd half of the season... PLAYOFFS! I hope Hatcher gets healed up in time for game #3. Looking forward to seeing PRP in the first round. I liked the uni's the Rocks wore for the game.

  3. SK has played two teams who are good and that great defense was beat both time. The T game would be just like the Middletown score was.

This is some really funny stuff! If the rocks make it to the semi-finals and finals, it will be a running clock. Don't take it personal! It's just the way I see it! Speed, power and coaching KILLS! Every time!

  4. Ballard is the best public in the state. I really like what the new coach is doing with the Bruin program. With that said, I think the only way Ballard can keep this game close is with some trickery. There talent on the offense should put some points on the board. I just don't see there defense stopping the Rocks offense. GO ROCKS! #20! Score: Trinity- 48 Ballard-20 in the last district game for these schools. here is some stats to ponder...

    District Dominance!

The Shamrocks have won 46 straight games in district play and are 65-1 under Beatty in district games. Trinity’s last loss in district play came on Sept. 19, 2003, a 34-33 loss at Seneca.

    • Trinity is 41-5 all-time against Ballard, having won 21 straight in the series. Beatty is 15-0 against Ballard.

    • Trinity is 34-2 all-time against Eastern including a 12-0 mark under Beatty. Trinity has won 18 straight games in the series dating to 1994. The teams have met annually since 1987. The largest win in the series for the Shamrocks came on Oct. 17, 2001 in a 57-0 win.

    • Trinity is 13-2 all-time against Seneca, including a 9-1 mark under Beatty. The Oct. 9, 2010 win tied for the second largest in series history at 49 points. The record is 52 set on Oct. 19, 2007 in a 55-3 win.

WOW! I'm pretty good at predicting games! I almost nailed it on the head... I thought we would block an extra point and didn't anticipate Trinity's defensive interception for a touchdown.

  5. Great win for the Rocks! Trinity was in controlled the entire game! Ballard had no answer for the ROCKS offense. The only time Trinity didn't score they shot themselves in the foot with penalties. Ballard has some great players. Parker is a stud. I almost picked the score (49-20). T is improving week by week.

  6. Want to play devil's advocate and point out that the loser of this game could play( if higher seeds prevail) the winner of another district at the higher seeded team's field in the second round of this years playoff. Imagine if you will if St X decides not to move the game. As much as the KHSAA vote seemed to gang up on Male Manual St X and Trinity, it will make district games extremely important next year. For this year, this may be the most competitive game for Trinity against Ky schools. We saw what happens against Bowling Green. Can Ballard repeat that recipe and take the number 1 seed and sending Trinity on the road for the second week?

    No!

  7. Disagree about us 'hating' T. It may still happen at every other school, but the days of making them out to be some kind of 'big green monster that is only good because they cheat' are over at Ballard. We talk only about their excellent ability to execute, their tremendous athletes, and their great off-season program (and all that is for a purpose -- to raise the bar for our guys).

Now, I don't think they like US very much -- especially based on some comments I heard were said by certain people after we played them close last year.

Right on CoachJ! I'm glad to hear that! You are doing great things at changing the culture at Ballard. It shows on the field. Personally, I don't like the word “hate”. Let's just agree that neither school likes each other. That's what makes this rivalry so much fun. Looking forward to a great game on Friday!

I stand corrected! The largest win in the series for the Shamrocks came in 2005 in a 70-7 win.

  10. Trinity's Bishop rushed for 201 yards and 3 TD's and Dawkins for 115 and 2 TD's. The Eagles were held to 152 yards. Eastern falls to 4-4. T is 7-1. Next week for T is the District showdown against the Ballard Bruins who stopped Seneca at the 6-yard line with 1:33 left to preserve a 27-21 win. Could it be that both B and T were a little far-sighted in their respective games last night?

Coach Beatty does a great job of preparing his team for the game at hand. He doesn't allow his players to look past the team he is playing that week. It's one week at a time. Eastern gave up the run and we took it! Simple! Saturday, it's time to start prepare for Ballard. The Ballard vs Seneca game was played by two evenly match teams which went down to the wire. Friday nights Trinity Ballard game should be interesting... Trinity-49 Ballard -7.

  11. Some quotes made by the Seneca p.a. announcer. "Terrible pass by Trinity quarterback falls incomplete!" "A more than favorable spot by the ref gives Trinity a first down." "Trinity going for more points!" This was after an incomplete pass with second and third stringers in against the Seneca first team defense. "Smith's pass falls incomplete while the Seneca reciever had the Trinity corner beat by at least five yards!"

He never used the players names or numbers. Everything was just Trinity and position. So unprofessional.

That is so pathetic! Where did they get that guy?
