  1. I said "this year" because I had just looked at their schedule.. My memory is not good enough to remember every team they have played over the past few years. Unfortunetely noone is perfect, not even I.
  2. Awesome, those are nice facilities to have at the middle school level.:thumb:
  3. After reading the thread about the Clay Co. kid, he has to be one of the best IMO.
  4. I dont know who started it. I was just implying that you should be happy where your at, reffering to the UL fans that agreed with the original comment. :thumb:
  5. It looks like it's about 50 yards away in the picture above.
  6. UK's recruiting has picked up over the past couple of years, however last year was UK's best class in probably 20 years. It was still ranked in the lower half of the SEC. UL would not be a consistent SEC powerhouse as some of you are proclaiming, by just recruiting KY kids and a handful from other states.
  7. Ok then. You all should quit "wishing you could swap conferences with UK" just to see what would happen. I dont see the difference, but whatever..
  8. SEC and Big10 are 1 and 2. After that it doesn't really matter.
  9. Trust me when I say UL has a much better chance of going to a National Championship game playing in the Big East. You all should be happy that you are where your at right now, rather than wishing you were in the SEC.
  10. In most aspects it would. Sure more of the nations top high school players would be watching UL play which 'could' help in some aspects. But UL would be competing with the likes of Florida, Georgia, Alabama, LSU, Auburn, and so on and so on to get these kids. And before you say "UL already recruits Florida well,'" that would change real quick if the Gators handed them a couple of losses. The top HS players want to play in a BCS conference, but it is much easier to convince them to come to your school when your competition is the likes of Uconn, Pitt, Rutgers, WVU.
  11. Playing in the Big East I agree that they will be in NC discussions for a while. Put them in the SEC and everything gets harder, including the recruiting, which is what has put UL where they are today.
  12. Exactly. Yes they would be a very good SEC team THIS YEAR, but their NC hopes would pretty much be gone, as I believe they would lose a couple of conference games. Sure UL would be a contender to play in the SEC championship this year, but most years they would be another middle of the pack team. As a UL fan, saying you want to be in the SEC is almost the same as saying you dont want to win a NC.
  13. I dont think we are supposed to link things from other sports message boards, so I'll just say most major recruiting networks started reporting it around 4 p.m. today.
  14. Then it will probably be a home game for UT. An even better scheduling move in my opinion. :thumb:
  15. Maybe those schools are just trying a change in scenery, since they have both had series with UL in previous years. But I can see how from a UL fans point of view all of these teams are scared to play them. As far as Georgia they dont typically have as tough of an OOC schedule as UT and Auburn. Their OOC games this year were WKU, Colorado, and G. Tech. Although Auburns OOC was pretty weak this year.
  16. That's part of the point. If the home and home with ND is over and they replaced it with Cal, why would they add another game with UL? IMO, it was a smart move to drop ND and replace them with Cal.
  17. But yes, UL is doing the right thing if they are going after schools like UT and Auburn. Even though their first choices were apparently G. Tech and Vandy. However I believe they would have a better chance at getting a powerhouse from a conference like the ACC, Pac10, or even Big12 to commit to a game.
  18. Relax, it was just a joke. My point was that with as many potential losses UT and Auburn already face based on their SEC schedule alone, they would be stupid to schedule another game that they "could" lose as an out of conference game. The way the BCS is set up your National Championship hopes are all but gone if you lose more than one game. So my point was if you already play a brutal conference you shouldn't be scheduling teams that could beat you on a given night as an OOC game. That doesn't mean these teams are running scared, it just means their AD's have a little common sense.
  19. All hail the mighty cardinals. Maybe they should try scheduling other close to home powerhouses such as Indiana and Illinios. I don't know if the UT and Auburn 'rumors' are true or not, but if UL is trying to prove something those are the kind of schools they should be going after. Rather than UgaTech and Vandy. But with the brutal schedules UT and Auburn already have, I would be suprised if they scheduled UL as another out of conference game. But im sure if they don't we'll be hearing how they're running scared too.
  20. Looks like another project to me. Rivals and Scout both only give him 2 stars. Shagari was a 4 star player based on potential alone, and we all know how that turned out.
  21. I agree. It only took 30 posts to get this thread headed in the wrong direction. I hate how it seems in every Ashland thread the 'haters' always have to post negative rumors and personal opinions just to 'stir the pot.'
