Tamme was a semi-skilled player. How many other "superstars" from Boyle were skilled players? Having one or two super lineman a year is nothing like some other schools have had as far as skilled talent. My point is I don't think Boyle has been blessed with great talent. I think they get as much as anyone out of a bunch of average joe athletes.
But unlike the most of the rest of the state I think the Lexington schools have as good as if not better talent than the big 3. I bet Henry Clay has had more D1 scholarship players the last ten years than Trinity and St. X put together.
Two years ago Danville had a very young team in the state finals against Beechwood. Many of the players starting on that team should be seniors in 2006. Is Danville the favorite to win Class A?
If Boyle County can come out of no where and dominate for several years why can other high schools do the same thing? What do the coaches in Boyle County know that the rest of us don't know?
It has been 25 years since Henry Clay won a title. When will it happen again? Will it ever happen? What is the problem in Lexington? Do the Louisville school really have that much more talent than the Lexington schools?
