Here's a thought...instead of comparing apples to oranges let's compare apples to apples.....if anyone has the stats for games Jones and Maile/Isler/Darner have in common might be way of comparing. From what I see both teams have both played: Highlands Scott NCC Boone County Holy Cross Cooper and Lloyd Sorry, I don't have their hitting stats for these games but if TOG or anyone else could elaborate that would be great. Just thought this would be interesting.

The batter held his hand up for time and stepped back, the catcher started to stand up so Hammons stopped, then the Ump called a balk. At least that is what I saw

Hammons strikes out 13. That makes 105 K's in 54.7 innings Great job by both teams, very close exciting game in the last inning.

He still had 10 K's in 4 innings which is what the Cubs scout recorded. From what I know, which isn't a lot, the scouts both college and pro don't just look at the actual performance but more at the player. They are looking for ability and what kind of potential they have as a player. They know that everyone is going to have a bad game once in a while. I know if it was me and I had 2 college scouts and 1 pro scout sitting there watching me I wouldn't have been able to do anything right but I think Hammons did a pretty good job recording his typical double digit K's.

He didn't pitch the Boone County game due to having pitched the Holy Cross game a couple days before. He will be pitching the Lloyd game this Saturday.
