    I don't know too much about Combs, so my goal is not to defend him. But just an outsider looking in it looks like to me by reading this thread that Houndman you might need to know a little more about who and what you are talking about before you post. Every program and every coach is capable of having a losing season. TALENT plays a huge role, some ok coaches have winning seasons because they have unbelievable talent. Sometimes great coaches have losing seasons because they have 0 talent. Believe me I had the oppportunity to watch Nelson Co one time this year and Coach Bill Cowher probably could not have done much better than 1-9 either! Did you see Nelson play this year?
