I have a marvelous idea. I say we let parents choose what is best for their child.
-
But I'm dying to hear it...sounds pretty awesome, don't ya think? :ylsuper:
NKY native Pat Obrien's band might qualify.....Cannibal Corpse.

Well then I missed my mark, if anything, I'm trying to take the opposite of a high horse. Who are we, anyone, to say some music stinks that millions of people love? Say it isn't for me, fine. But it is horrible? I think the music snobbery that comes up on this site incessantly is gross, so if that puts me on some weird high horse, I guess I'll ride it proudly. Guess what Snottie, if you like slash metal, good for you, enjoy it. If you love opera, okey dokey, while not for me, I hope it makes you happy.
Sorry to not jump on the "Random Musician that is wildly successful STINKS" bandwagon.
As a lifelong metal fan, I have never heard over the subgenre of slash metal.

Yeah, not sure how you are offered or commit in a binding way as a 8th grader or Freshmen but people seem to indicate that it happens.
It does happen, but there is nothing binding about it. It is a verbal agreement between two parties, that either can back out of at any time.

No enlightening needed. If we really wanted to be on a roster, he would be....plain and simple. I assume you are employed......and I assume that you do what is necessary to stay employed. Pay close attention to his girlfriend, it's all theater. Please enlighten us then. -
This is definitely the right move towards getting that NFL contract! :thumb:
Getting a contract has never been his motive.
-
Then why the need for Eagle Scout? What's the point?
To tear down a tradional institution.

Migo Pangallo
Obviously Mr. Pangallo is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
Wow, hopefully he is innocent. Always liked him......he was best softball umpire in the 8th Region.

AAU is going to be gone after the FBI gets through.
Nope. College coaches are not interested in watching gifted players succeed against non gifted players. Much easier to judge talent when it is competing against similar talent.

Congrats to Shelby and her family.

Love Glenn Hughes, best singer in the world in my opinion. These guys have released their 4th LP and it's a keeper. Glenn Hughes and Joe Bonamassa along with Jason Bonham and Derek Sherianian are a pure Supergroup! Check it out. My favorites on this LP are "Last song for my resting place" and "Collide". Really good stuff! -
"Discretionary Monies" in my previous post. Called that because it is "supposed" to go to living supplies.
I thought about that after I submitted the post.

They also get a "cost of attendance " check every month, which usually amounts to about 2% of their scholarship. They are free to do as they wish with that money.Education. Books. Meals. Discretionary monies. Gear. Travel. Family perks. For the average D1 basketball player, that can be over $50,000 per year. Hardly "free." -
Just found out that our youngest son Chris will be inducted into the class of 2017 Union College Hall of Fame on October 21, 2017. He's the principal at Bristow Elementary in Bowling Green, KY

Congrats!! Coached against him when he was at Warren Central HS in 2011/2012. Talked hoops with him in hospitality room at that tournament. Wonderful young man, points to the apple not falling far from the tree. God Bless.

The State stepped in....in 1964. Your comment about only LEO having the privilege of going home to family at night....I am not quite sure what you are trying to say, could you please elaborate further?I can say with certainty that no one is asking the "State" to step in, other than Bernie Sanders because that's his answer to everything, rather that the "State" allow fathers to go home to their children at night. I know, that's a privilege afforded only to law enforcement though. -
Why has no one covered the lies Michael Bennett told via twitter and covered by the news at the time? Then when body cam footage is released by the Las Vegas police, no racial profiling, no threats against his life, completely made up account of what actually happened.
Doesn't fit the narrative of the falseness that has been spread by group thinkers and identity politicos.
-
Why are those homes fatherless?
Many factors can be linked to this. One of which is the misguided War on Poverty of 1964. The "State" can NOT be a substitute for a father.
-
When you consider that those things are products of racism the picture becomes more clear.
I would argue that the culprit you are looking for is fatherless homes/families, not racism.
-
Based on the evidence presented, it looks to me that we have a low amount of law enforcement mistakes, although we don't want any mistakes. Have there been issues of abuse of power and actual racism? Absolutely.....but the extent of which has been severely overblown by group thinkers, identity politicos, and those who think we should govern based on emotion. I am in NO way discounting any negative experiences that anyone on this board might have had. Unfortunately, we are all human, full of imperfection. Not sure there are any laws that can be enacted at this point to rid ourselves of actual racism. As a society we continue to evolve toward less and less of it, regardless of what is regurgitated by the MSM or on social media. I choose to treat folks as I want to be treated. Just remember.....this whole charade of kneeling during the National Anthem was started by a radical that had embraced the likes of Castro, murdering, true racist Che Guevara, and wore cop/pig socks to make a political statement. Oh, and he also dontated $25K to a foundation honoring cop killer Assata Shakur.

What laws do we need pass to stamp out white privelage?Proved my point.
