Well thought out; but you would definitely need some help for Pennick and Elliott. Looks like Indiana may have one of their best classes in many years.
Boys coaches are Tim Riley as Head Coach from Warren Central and Morrow from Jeffersontown as Asst. Coach. Girls Coaches Don Dillard as Head Coach from Cristian Co. and Randy Napier as Asst. Coach from Perry Co. Seems like talented coaches representing different parts of the state.
If Kentucky wants to stay competitive, they need to give additional reasons and resources for seniors to stay in Ky. If a Rondo leaves the state to play his senior year for more exposure, a more aggressive schedule and any other intangible; you would think that a state with such a historic and passionate basketball population could structure a competitive system to retain our players. History and tradition will only get you so far. Kentucky's basketball coaches and leaders should review our state system from junior high to the student athletes senior year. Put the politics and egos aside and address the talent drain before its too late.
I believe 1976 was Darrell Griffith as Mr. Basketball. Good point though, Ky. needs a Mr. Basketball that has the talent and character traits to represent his state well. All the way back in 1975 and Dom Fucci is still remembered as Mr. Basketball.
Sounds like All Star game director is out, a small part may have something to do with last years player selection process. (trinity players, Jared Carter, and Saihou Jassey. Its my understanding that they are revamping the player selection process. Cleaning House?
Jared Carter surely would have made the team if he would have showed up at the tryouts. I don't think the coach picks the teams. Why didn't Carter participate?
