Why would they choose before they knew who they played?

Since Sonnys will be there SW has voted to show up. And since its hard to beat a team 3 times in a year I am going with SW in an upset. SW 2- MC 0 in overtime. SW does an outstanding job of holding onto the ball and Mccreary Central goes 0-3 from the field.:dancingpa

The baseball test will be online this spring and as soon as you submit it it will tell you what you scored. I would assume that the basketball and other sports will soon follow.

When it was the 47th, they voted to rotate it. they decided to do it alphabetically. Southwestern took Russell Co.s place in the rotation. 2 years ago it was at SW Last year Wayne Co. This Year McCreary Next year its Monticellos turn to host it but they will have to build another gym or host it somewhere else. I was hoping they would host it in Hawaii but according to slink it will be at SW. I would think if Monticello played SW in the first round of the district they would want to have it at Wayne Co.'s gym but who knows.

If one toe is in the field of play the fielder is considered to be in the field of play, So no balk. Both feet COMPLETELY in foul territory then fielders balk.

Raiders 2-O We decided to forfeit. I don't think we are even going to bother with showing up. It all depends on what will be served in the Hospitality Room. If they are having Bologna we will not be there. However if they are serving ham then we might show up.

What it made it even more cool was the fact that Knox was having their Homecoming ceremony between games. Because of that the gym had a nice crowd not the usual 12 or 13 fans that attend JV games.

Wayne is playing pretty well right now. They beat Jackson Co. on the road tonight.

And a memory for me and our players for life. It was definately a feel good moment for eveyone involved.

I will not stat the game until tomorrow. But Knox killed SW on the glass. Knox jumped out to a 17 point lead in the 1st quarter. SW cut the lead to 3 at half. Knox went on a big run to start the 3rd quarter and pushed the lead to about 20 by the end of the 3rd quarter. The teams played pretty much even in the 4th with reserves playing out the last 3 minutes. Miller from Knox is a beast. Knox has a nice team and played w/out their starting point guard who has the fu.They had a couple of kids that shot lights out from the 3. It was the first time in recent memory that we have traveled to the 13th region and there was no home cooking. I thought the referees did an outstanding job of calling this game. The best part of the evening occured in the final minute of the JV game. Knox has a special needs student that got in the game in the final minute. SW made several turnovers in the final minute that allowed this kid to get several shots at the basket. After missing a three we sorta fouled him and he got three free throw attempts. Unfortunately he missed all three but a lane violation gave him a fourth shot. Unfortunately he missed this one as well but the rebound went out of bounds and Knox retained possession. They threw the endbounds pass to him in the lane and he shot it in. The entire gym erupted, it was a special moment.

I was the JV Coach for one year about 5 or 6 years years ago . And no 1 year is not that long of a time. Now I thought it was funny that the final score would be 22- 21. THat might be the 1st quarter score. NO way McCreary or Somerset will hold the ball.

TT Wooldridge had 14 first half points to lead Southwestern to a 42 -29 halftime lead. Zack Fowler was a beast on the boards as pulled down 12 rebounds in tonights contest. Trevor Jones hit 7 of 8 fieldgoal tries in tonights win. Tyler Mayer had 4 steals and 6 assists and connected on his only trey attempt. SW played really well in the first half but went back to some old bad habits in the 3rd quarter and only managed 7 points due to numerous turnovers. Pulaski cut the lead to 5 at 55 to 50 with about 3 minutes to go but could get no closer. Pulaski did not have their A game tonight committing 19 turnovers and only hitting 4 of 20 three point attempts. Whitis shot a three that hit the back of the rim bounced high into the air hit the guide wire and fell back through the goal. The Refs of course disallowed the goal. It was that kind of night for PC I wish PC good luck in the District Tourney. You all bring your A game and I think you have enough talent to make a nice Tourney run.
