I can still hear my dad say " do it right the first time or don't do it at all".

Congrats! It's a great honor to receive this award. Enjoy the banquet. It's a wonderful experience so enjoy the night in Cincy.
-
Awesome! I'm happy for Austin and his family.

What did everyone expect from the Bengals? They not only can't put it together on the field let alone a true meaningful press conference. Both Mikey and Marvin looked like fools as usual. I'm just glad I'm not part of the media that has to cover these idiots. They deserve each other! How in the heck are fans suppose to get excited about what they said? I hope their season ticket renewals drop to an all time low.

Paul Brown is miserable. Abosulte morons all over the place.
Maybe you have to be drunk or under the influence to watch the product on the field............

Why would it be easier to play multiple sports at NCC than Highlands?
One reason would be the number of athletes to choose from. I don't know the exact numbers, but I would think HHS has almost twice the number than NCC.

Is Bo Hebel the son of Gene Hebel?
NO.

Highland's gym is my favorite place in the 9th Region to see a game because it's one of the last places around to get that good old fashioned feeling of yesteryear of being in an intense packed house, right on top of the action. Sometimes games can get more exciting and intense because of it. With the caliber of teams Highlands has had over the years, there have been countless great games in that building. The building has never in past effected good basketball at Highlands, so I can't see that being the reason for them having a down year. When a new gym is built, that good old fashioned feeling will be gone for good.
I agree. A gym, field or court should have nothing to do with the product.

Hey, a great big Bluebird shout out to the parents that replaced the signs on Memorial Parkway today. After the many long hours of hard work (and I'm sure a few beverages to boot), making signs for the team to see and appreciate, those signs is question were destroyed last evening by some, well lets just call them Non-Bird fans! New signs look awesome. What a great message! Keep up the great work parents!!!
Go Birds!!! 20n10!!!
I agree, those bluebird mom's are "awesome"

Kelly is "teflon", nothing sticks to him. He is all about himself. I still root for the Irish because I have since I was a youngster. However, I don't particularly like Kelly.

The HHS coaches were back at school at 9:00 watching film of CC. The players came back in at 12:00 noon. I know most of the coaches didn't leave until 6:00 pm. The players are dedicated and so are the coaches. They leave no stone unturned when it comes to their opponent. Good luck Birds!

Warrior32 you are a true fan. Thanks for the updates for those of us who didn't make it to the game. Best of luck to the Bear next season. The future is very bright for those young men.

I did hear it's possible the game time might be moved up to 6:00 pm. Can anyone confirm this?

With the move to 6 classes and most districts going back to 4 teams compared to 5 and 6 team districs of the 4 class days, is it time? I know this gives most teams a chance for post season play but it also waters down the playoffs and hurts the gate.
Things this could improve on the football season.
1. Allow 11 or 12 regular season games
2. Help gates by giving better matchups in the regular season instead of rematches of games that were played a week or two prior that are usually blowouts anyways.
3. Makes district play that much more important.
4. Cuts down on unnecessary travel
5. Makes the playoffs much more special
I know some districts are an exception but most games in the first two rounds are not for the faint of heart. Just something I was wondering about.

Great post Mexitucky! I went to a couple of Dayton games this year and was very disappointed with the support that was showed for the team. I saw the same faces you have seen for years down there volunteering their time, Mike Case, Danny Ilg, coach Donelan and a couple others, doing whatever it took for the love of the kids. The kids feel entitled down there. It's a shame, Dayton can be such a tight knit community that sticks together. They just have not had the passion in Dayton for some time?
I don't get this comment. Please explain?

Too many miss tackles for the Birds tonight.
-
I just laugh at the whole organization. Top to bottom they are horrible!
-
Post game huddles should be for players and coaches only. I don't see any reason for parents, friends or relatives to be involved. Win or lose this is a time for the team. After the team breaks the huddle, thats the time to meet with the players.

I guess their not lying when they say "Willie got all the money". With the way Tracy offends listeners this can't be good for the ratings?
-
I heard him on the BigOne yesterday with Tracy. I didn't catch their show today. Curious?
-
Just read on ESPN mobile web. Ward sees nothing wrong with his hit on Shipley and would do it again
Maybe he'll reconsider his position after he receives his fine this week.
-
Good for these young men and the programs they represent.

What can we say........ Been there before haven't we? I'm sure some things will improve over the next few weeks in some areas. But, this is an organization that is very bad from top to bottom. I thought the Pats came out and smacked them in the mouth and the Bengals couldn't respond until the game was basically over.

The sidelines were to close to the vistors bench area. The fields not big enough to pass each other and they ran into each other. That sounds about right.
Haha! I've followed these comments and this one is the best FT. I guess if they can't beat HHS on the field, they take their frustrations out on the facilities. Thank goodness none of them have stepped foot in the weight room........ Just think what they would say?
Big loss for N. Ky sports coverage.
