I think to get a better feeel you need to ask this in the classes they are in. All the ones you mentioned are at the top as of right now. Things do change I went to Male/Highlands scrimmage one year when we were very good and it wasn't even close. Now they would be a tough team to beat.

I agree coach, I was concerned with U of L not getting one kid from Metro Louisville and even spoke to someone at the school and they told me they offered several but none accepted. Lorentez Barbour is going to Navy. And in the CJ there were some more signings but not many were D-1. Population wise Kentucky cannot be far behind states like Alabama/Mississippi/Louisana/ etc. I had a son who played soccer and I as his dad just set down nad contacted many schools. The head Coach can only do so much, I know now things are a lot better for reaching schools but I had so many coaches call me about my kid, and two offered and did so due to my reaching out helping my son. I just gave his stats and GPA was really good. I had friends who had a kid playing baseball and was going to a NAIA school and was enrolled. Wasn't playing baseball. I called the coach and we talked for a while and now the kid is in his 3rd year. Parents have to be aggressive and stay with it. Sorry I rambled.

I called a lot of fouls on a pressing team who was ahead 24/25 -2 at the end of the 1st quarter. I told my buddy "if they keep pressing I calling every single touch by them." Clyde, what does the rule say about touching the other player? You call it tight or let some of it go...What does the rule say? So, during the game as the pressing team kept on pressing I called every touch. 62/64-8/9 was the final. They had 11/12 players to the other team 6. They were better basketball players to. As I was walking out of the gym the winning coach stopped me and said...Ref this was the best called game we had all season". I said why did you press this team this way? Can't remember what he said. I kept walking and a man stopped me and said.. My name is ----- ------ and I'm the head of the KHSOAA, Kentucky High School Officals and I want you at the next clinic next August. I'll put you in the JV s for your first season, that was a very well called game". I said, "thank you, but I just do this for the exercise, and no thanks to your invite. Sometimes we Ref for the game/kids.

Depends on the situation, sometimes you have to go what best for the game/kids.

I've stopped the game due to a chain/ear ring, after telling the captains to make sure there are not wearing them. I did not call a "T".

What system does the Ref use to let the scorer who committed the foul?

I never said anything about ignoring any rule, you said I said that. But once the game is played it would be played and not stopped a half time for the reason as we are talking about. I'll deal with the aftermath, the game comes first.

Clyde, Randy has made some good points. refs don't ignore rules, but as a fellow human a mistake can be made. I was told many times in Ref/Umpire clinics that once the game has started you have to "be in complete control". It was said more to us than anything.

All the refs are "Accountable", but they are under control once the ball is thrown up. I would given the "T" at the opening and moved on.

Once the game is started the game is in complete control of the Refs. I used to Ref and I would just played on. I'd just tell them.."I'm in charge lets play the game." The game comes first.

Boy, the Desales folks are hot. Seems the president had a Vacation planned and is out of town. Some said he just didn't like Coach Sander and was using Holy Cross 1% increase in enrollment as a issue. So, the coach job duties beside coaching is getting kids to come to the school? Spoke with a radio guy this morning and asked about the Non Jefferson County situation of U of L not taking any and he told ne he addressed this with Coach Strong and Charlie said they offerd several kids here and they refused them.
