Kentucky by 7....GO CATS.............
-
Augger, the Bailey kid looks to be about 6'4, and in the 14th region that's considered a "big man".
PCC's guard, I think his name is Stacy, was hot from the outside. He had around 25 points.
That is no doubt a big man around this region....sad as it is....haha....
-
Was a figure of speech - if the PG had had his usual game and would have played more than the 10 or 11 minutes he was limited to because of foul trouble the outcome might have been different. Berryman and Christopher are both averaging over 20 points for the season. Berryman had 27 and Christopher had 23.
Do you have an exact on what their average is???
-
I think there isn't any way that JBS or PCC can beat Mason. I know we 14th region friends would like to dream but this Mason team led by 4-star UK prospect Darius Miller is very good,IMO.
-
No doubt Charles is one of the best, if not the best sophmore in the 14th. I think that he will play a big role tonight against Jackson tonight and I will take Lee by 10+.
-
I think that whenever it is played that Buckhorn should win by around 10 or so....although Owsley is playing better for their new coach....
-
It's looking rough in Nashville to say the least....
-
I'll take Dwayne Jarrett and roll the dice. :thumb:
I like Dwayne Jarret as well....
-
Trey Congleton from Owsley has some power, and if he has "bulked" up any over this last year, he could hit quite a few "dingers". I think teams now know he can hit, so he probably won't get too many good pitches.
Well, you should know if he has bulked up any, has he??

Lee County is going to be traveling Brian Station over the Chrismas break and be competeing down there.
-
Johnson is a good point gaurd but Powell's success is going to depend on Romans in the middle.
-
I think that Berryman probably is a top player but as of right now the top 2 teams in this district have to be Lee and Powell. Estill can contend but I don't know if they will......
-
I think that they may spilt the season series this year. Lee was almost impossible team to beat last year at home and Powell is always good at home so I look for Lee to win at Home and to lose at Powell.
-
I just read it in another post, Gene Combs has left Lee Co. to go to Montgomery Co. Any names out there for the replacement at Lee?
Jason Jewell will be the new coach at Lee
-
Perkins is still here, as for Eversole, I am not positive.
-
I wish Coach Combs the best of Luck as well. Yes he does have 3 kids actually and to my knowledge they all still attend school in Lee County
-
I have to agree...Lee co. will have a time with Powell co. this season. I see Powell taking the 56th, lee will also have a time guarding Romans of Powell, Fetters and Johnson cant compare to the strength of Tyler Rich...
That would be a correct statement there, they will have a tough time guarding bigger guys, but another good question is will those big guys be able to guard Fetters or Johnson? This Lee County team is going to be a fast paced team that gets up and down the floor, if they are not able to get up and down well, it may be trouble.
My Rankings:
1. JBS
2. Hazard
3. Lee County
4. Powell County
5. PCC

Stepp's only fault is when he is trying to do to much and don't rely on his other players sometimes. He has a great running mate in Cox and a monster big man that he should use a lot more. Most of the time he makes the right pass or takes the right shot, but he is still growing up and learning the game and tries o do to much at times when they have missed a couple of shots and when it comes down to a close crunch time whether to pass or shoot, he hasn't yet learned that he is the man they want to take the shot. I do think he has learned from past mistakes and will be ready for a great year.
I agree with that as well and thats why I think that Brandenburg is the Region's best overall gaurd.
But my starting 5 would be:
G-Brandenburg
G-Hicks
F-Stepp
F-Fetters
C-Collins

I haven't seen anyone in the 14th that can play in Division I basketball. There are several who may be able to play Div II, or NAIA ball. It takes someone special to make it to a DI basketball program.
I think so too, but on the other hand I think quite a few would be able to play at that level.
-
Lee's fast offense will be led by Brandenburg, Fetters and maybe a lesser known name in Landan Johnson
-
What are you talking about with Neely and Owsley, I have not anything different than he is playing at Owsley.
BEST DEAL POWELL CO AND COACH LIVELY
Yeah, I was suprised to hear this about Neely as well, but I can't say that I blame him. And I totally agree with you that the best deal was Lively to Powell. Lively is a good coach but not only that Powell returns just about everyone of their players from last year, if not all of them.
-
Almost forgot......Lee County's pitcher threw an outstanding ball game. You can tell he is coached well, and that he has tremendous control. Lee Co also has two other excellent pitcher's, which will make them tough all season. Coach Combs has an excellent ball team. I do believe that the Owls would like another shot at them with there "actual line-up" in place. Should be a great one!
What is their actual line-up?? And if you are complaining about the burning out your aces during the "harder road", last time i checked the team that wins the region has to play 3 games in the tournament, which means that if Owsley is to win the region they better get used to winning with Congleton on the mound.
-
Lee is the team to beat, no doubt
-
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1. Lee County
