In the 14th Breathitt has looked pretty good, probably 5th or 6th in the region but that is much better than what they were predicted for....

The last time these bitter rivals met at PCC's gym it was the 2005 54th district 1st round with perry central being victorious.Im going to say pcc by 7 in a very good game.
Why didn't they play twice last season, one at Memorial and one at PCC? I thought normally distirct teams played twice every season....

Romans did dress for OBI, but did not play. We'll see what happens with a couple days of prac. Lee co. Shouldnt count him out for the game.
I was assuming this would be his first game back.......

I am a Lee County fan but winning by 12 is probably a little much.....winning in Stanton is different than at home or on a neutral court. They are extremely tough at home and will show that on Tuesday. They had Lee beat until Kenny Brandenburg stole the inbounds and forced overtime, an overtime in which Lee won.
However, IMO Lee still wins in a close one: Lee 68
Powell 64

I seen in the paper he had 28 in a loss against someone....
-
Congrats to GRC on a Huge win......
-
Those numbers are very very good, my guess would be he would be leading the state....hope he can keep it up....
-
I think Miller from Mason is incredible....
-
So Romans will make his debut on tuesday? Or did he play in this game??
-
Congrats to the Bobcats....

I don't think PCC is the best team but the team with the better coaches and in my opinion playing the best right now....so i take PCC by 5

This was an extremely good game....I thought that Hazard was down 17 but it might have been 15 but either way they came back to tie it and eventually win. The big turning point was win the big guy, Travis Smith, for Breathitt fouled out. He played very well against some pretty tough defense from Hazard. Campell for Hazard didn't look as good as I expected maybe he is still reeling from football season. But if Breathitt keeps it up they are going to be a pretty good team in the 14th.

When was his last full season?
2004 I believe....risky acquistion for anyone I think....
-
Keeping it interesting and upseting them are two different things. Mason County will blow them out. There are only a dozen or so players in the state that can guard Darius. And I will venture to say that they dont have the athletes to do it.
I will agree with this statement....there isn't anyone on JBS to stop him....

This coming from someone that has a Boston Red Sox logo for an avatar.
I think that Manny plays a little bit better in left than barry does....

Jackson City is one of the toughest places to play in the 14th - if you can get out of there with a win - you have accomplkished something.
Congrats Lee you have a good ballclub.
Now back to Tuesday night.... If Estill had hit.....
Haha....only If....but I agree with you that place was rocking last night....

Hazard by 8 or 9

Most folks didn't take it that way and I agree with you 100%. Jackson could have and perhaps should have won this game. With 5 ticks left on the clock and the ball under your own basket and down 1, you have to take an inside shot instead of being caught out on the perimeter with the ball. What this game demonstrated was that 1- If Lee is a true contender as posters have claimed, then Jackson has to be considered in the hunt also. or 2- In the early going these two teams are second tier teams in the 14th.
I was at the game and just an observer but IMO Jackson has 3-4 kids that play with a lot of intensity but one or two that don't always keep their heads in the game and get careless with passes and silly fouls. I think that if everyone can get focused they can be a real solid team this year.
From being at the game, I thought the exact same thing. I don't see how they could pass it out almost the half-court line in that situation. Kilburn appeared to be open right under the basket on that play, and maybe they just missed him.

They are using his image for profit. That means he gets a cut. It's not that hard to grasp...
I agree...while it may seem petty, it is the way the world goes round. I just don't understand how Yahoo! didn't think this would happen or why they didn't pay him in some form....oh well....

If a frog had wings....
Haha....maybe then everyone wouldn't have so many excuses for losses....
-
After tonight, I think that Jackson City is a dark horse in the 14th. They looked solid and very tough to beat in Jackson.
As far as underrated players go, Caleb Fetters for Lee is overlooked by many but extremely athletic and a tough defender....
-
I agree with LCBF here, the whole 'if' game happened with the Lee/Estill game, yes they opportunities to win as did Lee but they were the one's the capitalized.
Kenny Brandenburg played great in the 4th, not sure of his numbers but played as though he wasn't going to let his team lose. Lee kept their composure while some players for Jackson City seemed to be bothered by some Lee fans in the crowd.

Let's not lose sight of the fact that the Baron has 163 fewer losses however. A fact seldom mentioned.
And an 82% win percentage.......compared to 76% of Smith and around 71% of Knight.....so I still think the Baron is number 1......
-
I thought he was only going to play for a American League team so he can DH.....I don't think i can take another season of watching him destroy the position of Left Field.......

I will take Breathitt by 7, too much size on the inside...
