How come you would put Letcher in front of Knott? Knott beat Perry Central 6-0 which is ranked at # 3. So KCC actually has an argument to be ranked #3 this week. Not taking anything away from Letcher Central though. Based on their scores from the first week, they are probably a solid team and will be tough to beat by mid-season. Knott and Letcher play in less than 2 weeks in a big district matchup. It should be a highly competitive game.

First off, Thank you GOTT for the nice comments regarding KCC. Congrats to the Eagles on the win tonight. They have a very good hitting ball club. And whoever said that Morgan was the only pitcher that Leslie has dont know a lick about baseball. Hendrix and Roberts both looked solid on the mound and will be as good as any other pitchers in the 14th. As for KCC, the score was not indicative of how they played. KCC did indeed play a great defensive game but just couldnt get the bats going. KCC led the ballgame 1-0 for nearly half the game but had one miserable inning where they gave up 6 runs. Evan Potter(the 7th grader) started and pitched pretty well tonight aside from the one bad inning. The Patriots will definitely compete with the best in the 14th this season. All excuses aside, Leslie is a good team and should have a great season.

Since noone volunteered to organize this for the baseball season, and because cianni is nowhere to be found, I am going to take the liberty of organizing and formulating weekly polls for those interested in participating. Polls will be for the 13th, 14th, 15th, regions as well as the mountain top 10. The same procedure that was used last year will be used this year. I will make separate threads for each of the 3 regions, as well as the mountain top 10. Anyone who wants to vote in those polls simply reply to the thread with your own top 10 teams for each respective region/poll. The final polls for the week will be tallied based on the rankings of everyone who participated. The first round of polls will be the pre-season polls. I will post the separate threads for the preseason polls right away. You will have until late this Monday night/Tuesday afternoon to vote for the preseason polls.
