  1. Every move in the league isn’t about LeBron but every move Golden State makes is an effort to stay above LeBron. He’s been the only thing standing in their way to a title for the past four years. Last year Houston gave them some issues so their moves are to stay ahead of those two teams. They know they can beat everyone else but they also know if they stay complacent and don’t make moves while LeBron and Houston are then they’ll get beat. I can’t help but feel that this was a shrewd and calculated move on their part.

NBA insiders are saying players are texting each other about not helping LeBron out and going to different teams from his. If the reports about Kawhi wanting to go to the Clippers now are true then it seems even more plausible that LeBron is a factor in moves being made more than we think.

But it just seems like common sense that Golden State wants to make sure they make moves to stay better than everyone else. That’s the whole point.

  2. Why wouldn’t they make the same move if LeBron stays in Cleveland? They’d still have to face LeBron at some point. If we all know LeBron is working to get a better team in the Finals shouldn’t Golden State be making moves to maintain their dominance?

I just don’t buy the notion that every move made in the league is about LeBron. The 76ers and Celtics were the future of the east, regardless of what LeBron did.

  3. 4.) If Golden State was unbothered by the Lakers then they would have told Cousins they are good but no thank you. You can rationalize it anyway you want but there’s no way in hell they took on Cousins for the hell of it. They want to make sure they maintain their dominance next season and I don’t blame them one bit. Acting like a LeBron in LA doesn’t have anything to do with it is denial. It made too much sense when Cousins called. At the very least they have stolen all the thunder from LA and even that has something to do with LeBron. Y’all gotta let this hate go. It’ll give you high blood pressure.

The front office at Golden State is responsible for building the best team that they can. I don’t think you can say in a vacuum that this is a reactionary move and the Warriors don’t make this same move if LeBron stays in Cleveland. A top (albeit hobbled) player is out there and willing to sign on the cheap. This is professional sports, you sign the best players you can to assemble the best team you can and win at any cost.

I personally love it. I’m not a Warriors fan, but if guys are willing to sign for cheap and they’re getting it done within the rules, go for it.

  4. Can't believe this many of you wound up with your high school sweetheart.

It certainly wasn’t what I thought would happen at 16. I figured we’d go a fairly standard couple of months and that’d be the end of it. But time kept passing, and the breakup never came. So thankful for that woman.

  5. We do Blue Apron from time to time when they’re running a promotion. It’s definitely taken me out of my comfort zone and made me try some new things. I’ve enjoyed most of the meals, but it’s too pricey for us to do all the time.

  6. I really enjoyed it. Thought it was a fun movie with a solid story and lots of action.

    **Possible Spoiler**

As for the cameo in the end, I had to research after the movie because I didn’t think the timeline made sense. But apparently it is canon if you watch the cartoons (which I haven’t been able to do).

  7. I also came for basketball back when the East Ridge/Shelby Valley rivalry was a thing that mattered. After graduating, I stopped following high school sports pretty much at all.

So for me, it’s a general discussion forum at this point.

  8. How do you people who carry no cash buy stuff at yard sales? Flea market? Off Craigslist? I know some of the people at flea markets take cards, but not all. I have never had anyone I have sold to or bought from on Craigslist mention anything other than cash. With my business I buy cars out of the auctions. You pay with cashier's check or cash. This is called secured funds and gives you a $40 discount on each car. (Doesn't sound like much, but we buy 20-30 junk cars a week) Company checks are also accepted but it's not considered a secured fund. No credit card or venmo or whatever else you guys are using .Lol

I can’t speak for anyone else, but I can’t remember going to a yard sale or flea market in my adult life. Zero appeal to me.

  9. “West Wing Weekly” is probably my favorite at this point. The hosts just seem to gel better and better each week.

My wife thinks it’s the most pointless and boring thing ever, but she doesn’t obsess over the show like I do.
