  1. Wow, If it only takes 5 minutes to get money from your bank, everyone should came and see you.

I didn’t say or mean to imply that a customer is getting money from my institution in 5 minutes. The backend process SHOULD take about 5 minutes to get approval from the SBA to guarantee funding. That’s all I care about right now. We have a queue of hundreds of loans we are working through, but with the SBA site crashing every time you do anything, it’s very difficult to take care of our customers.

  2. It's clear Rodman has some issues and it's also clear he's never addressed them with a professional. I don't think it's as much about him being "different" as it is why he is that way. Basketball was a way for him to get away from whatever it was he was dealing with.

I agree, but he just talks about how he’s different. It’s a re-hash without revealing new information.

Great basketball player. I loved watching him. But I was hoping for some revelations in this one. I found his segment (along with last year’s doc focused on him) a little lacking in that regard.

  3. Just finished episode 1. Honestly, there is no way they could screw this up for me. I'm just too big a fan of that team and that era. So many kids my age were just bandwagon fans for the Jordan Bulls, but honestly, how could you blame us?

Hearing Sirius at the end of the episode - I just always get chills hearing that because of that team.

It’s the best entrance song there is, IMO.

  4. Hard to say. The last estimate I saw that gained much traction was the 60k one but I assume that assumed a longer mitigation strategy.

Just to throw something out, I say double it and go with 68,400.

We’ve had 35,000 deaths with mitigants in place and you think that only doubles without them? In what time frame?

  5. It’s supposed to be automatic. I have heard some people are experiencing a lag, and that the funds would be deposited in a lump sum for all weeks you don’t get the $600. Can’t remember where I heard that.

The $600 is also a separate transaction from the normal unemployment benefit payment, from my understanding.

  6. Not to be the hot take police, but all we are doing so far is listing movies we didn't think were very good or not as good as advertised. That's not a hot take. Heck, most people have not seen 75% of movies recognized at the Academy Awards.

Here is one. Last 20 years or so Robert De Niro is a below average actor. Meet the Parents and Analyze This were the last two movies he was good. After that, easily replaceable.

And he’s still making better movies than Pacino, who is a caricature of himself at this point.

  7. I’m not listening to much, honestly. I make such an association with music and whatever is going on in my life, that I’m afraid I’ll ruin an artist for me forced by associating them forever with this time in our lives.

I have listened to some John Prine, Johnny Cash, and Rolling Stones... Gave the new Pearl Jam a few listens... But my music listening is down and my podcast listening is up.

  8. In my case, it's pretty simple. No Federal withholding comes out of SS; and what's withheld from state retirement isn't all that much. Always owe 3 or 4 grand.

Sheesh. I usually owe a couple hundred. I’ll stop complaining about it now.

  9. Can we really open back up without knowing how many people have actually contracted the disease?

We have roughly tested 3 million people with roughly 600k positives. That's a lot of people left for on the roulette wheel.

What happens if this starts back up and the Rona explodes?

And those 2.4 mil negatives could be positives at a later date... Not like they’re out of the woods just because they were negative this time.

Testing has to SIGNIFICANTLY ramp up.

  10. It’s a delicate balance between hoping people develop antibodies to fight off the disease, and re-opening to watch the world burn. The purpose of flattening the curve is to ensure we have consistent medical resources to deal with the cases as they arrive, not stop the virus in its tracks.

While developing immunity is the clear goal, if we move too quickly we haven’t seen anything yet as far as a strain on resources. How many people that could have survived will not because there aren’t resources to take care of them? Thinning the herd is not human.

It’s a matter more complicated than my brain can process because obviously the economy can’t sustain these measures and quality of life is an important detail that can’t be minimized. But we can’t just kill off a generation for the sake of our convenience.

I mean.. I guess we can, but I can’t process it.
