  1. If Graves did pull it off, who would get priority over War Memorial? If Mayfield wins their game, they are playing at home as well.
  2. I agree, it is why Mayfield schedules the Tilghmans and the Hopkinsvilles every year. I do think though that this years Crittenden offense is the best that it has been in years and I look for this game to be close but I have no idea as to a score. It will be interesting to see how Crittenden plays against the Mayfield D, if they try to grind the game out with running, I give the game to Mayfield. I think that Mayfield has the answer to the passing game as well, but it hurts to be missing Fred Brown.
  3. Why did this guy get suspended? I have seen a lot worse posts in here than this one.
  4. I'm not complaining about them spending $7000, spend on.
  5. Exactly, if people think their children are too good for the public school or if it just doesn't meet their expectations, don't go, just don't complain about the taxes.
  6. I haven't seen it posted on here, but when will this vote happen?
  7. Right, everyone is paying for it, its your choice if you send them to a private school. People who are sending their children to the private schools chose to do that, great, you can't complain that it is a high school scholarship though when the people that are sending their kids there are paying for it thru taxes.
  8. How is it 100% paid when we pay school taxes? We pay for our kids to go to public schools.
  9. Hey, didn't know a fellow poster from my area was on here, great post. I have been trying to write a good post about small communities for a while and you summed it up, thanks.
  10. You are right on that one, the kids I support don't even care about any of this cause none of it applies to them, right now, it could down the road. I think it is an interesting topic to debate so I try not to state anything that I am not sure about.
  11. Well, it would be an interesting legal battle to say the least.
  12. Let me ask something though. Lets just say the proposal passes to split privates/publics. I hear a lot of the privates saying that they will take it court, why? Over a high school championship? What would be the law that is being broken here? I personally think that these schools should keep athletics out of the courts.
  13. Yep, I have been wondering the same thing.
  14. I am kinda surprised that coach Harp of Danville signed proposal 20. I didn't see anyone on there from my county Graves.
  15. Ok, I read that, all you are saying is that a change took place, what change was it?
  16. Yeah, and how is that right? Doesn't sound like it is putting the kids of the state first.
  17. It doesn't have anything to do with privates, that is another example of what I am talking about, two Louisville schools playing each other and one isn't even a private.
  18. The facts are that twice Trinity and St. X have played for the 4A championship, in recent years and since 1978, the championships have been played in Louisville. I agree with what you just said, if a school violates any of those rules, the punishment should be severe. I am not talking about private schools only.
  19. I don't think kicking the privates out of the KHSAA will do anything to moving the finals out of Louisville because you said it, money, something us rural schools don't have much of. Maybe I sound crazy to you people, but the facts are there, I am just stating them.
  20. Well, I keep hearing all this educational talk which is a fine wall to hide behind, nobody wants to beat on educational opportunities, that is why we have school right? It just seems awfully funny to me that Louisville is the center of the football world. In 2003 you have Trinity vs. St. X, which tells me that Louisville is considered the center of the state to the KHSAA and thus 4A that year revolved around Louisville. You also have the state game in Louisville, humm, why not have it somewhere else year to year, like Western KY univ? IMO it is just some people wanting to own football in Louisville.
  21. It used to be that way but some people got together and created some advantages.
