Yesterday...
Strength:
EMOM every 2 mins for 16:00 (8 sets)
1 Power Clean + Push Jerk + Split Jerk
Increase weight each set
Metcon:
EMOM every 4 mins for 20 mins (5 sets)
9 Cal Bike
7 Power Cleans
5 Should to Overhead
3 Bar Muscle Ups
Rx weight on the PC and S2O was 135# but i scaled it to 115#. I could do the 135 but knew it would likely cause me to fail on the MU's.

Yesterday's workout:
3 rounds of:
30 alternating arm dumbbell snatches (50 pounds)
20 wallballs (20 pounds)
Thought I might die (of course most days I have that thought).
2 movements that pretty much crush my soul. The only way to make that worse is to add in thrusters

What are you talking about?
See post #69

We do the same thing with a local company. The best part is the spring / fall service because without them calling to setup the visit I'd never remember to do it.Use Schneller. We do the Maintenance Agreement every year which runs ~$180. It gets us a Spring & Fall tune-up, a free plumbing inspection, 15% off all parts/services, and a very large discount on "emergency" calls.

Yeah I got it. See post #69Not at all. Hurts and Bama soundly beat Clemson when Bryant was the qb. The game was never even really close and I dont think Clemson even scored a td that game.Which imo played a big reason why Clemson made the qb change. Dabo saw how Bryant wasnt good enough for them to beat the other top teams.
-
Hurts wasn't benched against Clemson.
Bryant got them to the semifinals not the title game.
Jesus all of the Bama Clemson games are running together.
-
How much rest did you typically get? I would think you should have got at least a minute or so.
A lot to start, not so much at the end. Finished the first couple of rounds in just over 2:00 but the last couple were just over 4:00. I really suck at Push Ups and that really slowed me down.
-
Last night...
With a 30 mins running clock, every 5 mins do (so 6 sets):
5 Strict Pull Ups
10 Toes to Bar
15 Push Ups
20 Wall Balls
If completed before the 5 mins is up rest for the remainder of the time.
-
Kelly Bryant? No way.
It's at least debatable. To say he's not in the same stratosphere is ridiculous. He did lead them to a NT game and was beating Hurts until Hurts was benched. Neither are elite QB's.
-
One of those things is no like the other. Haha Kelly Bryant isn’t even in the same stratosphere as the other QBs that transfered either.
He's as good as Hurts if not better

Imagine the most "bro" guy you can think of from the biggest tool bag fraternity, then give him incredible athletic ability. That's pretty much him. :lol2:
:lol2:Perfect

There's a course in Henderson that closed a few years ago but is being reopened this summer. I'm really looking forward to seeing if they can get it back in decent shape. Use to really like playing there so hoping they can make it work.

Yesterday was an interesting workout and one in which I bet Woodsrider will remember.
Open Workout 13.1- Complete as many reps as possible in 17 minutes
40 burpees
75 pound snatch - 30 reps
30 burpees
135 pound snatch - 20 reps
20 burpees
165 pound snatch - 10 reps
10 burpees
210 pound snatch - as many reps as possible in remaining time
I made it through the 20 burpees. I had a little over a minute to attempt the 165 snatches, but couldn't get a single one.
Too funny. We did this one two weeks ago as a partner WOD. Me and the guy I did it with scaled the weight as 135 was basically both of our 1RM.
This was also the very first open I ever I did. I was exactly 1 year into Crossfit. Got through the 30 burpees and basically stared at the 135 for 10 mins.

From accounts of people who have been around Murray, 5’10 is very generous. The dude is 5’7. But Russell Wilson is the same way. Wilson isn’t a hair over 5’9. Murray can play in the NFL. I have no doubt about that.
Wilson measured 5'11" at the combine.
-
I will at this...Murrary is listed at 5'10" 195lbs. If that is truly what he is I will amend my position. However listening to talking heads he wouldn't measure 5'10" standing on a stool. If he truly is as short as some speculate then I say there is little chance he's more than 180.
-
And rolling out that much you are going to get hit a lot. He will never be very big or heavy and just can't take hits from guys the size they are in the NFL. I mean guys bigger than him didn't last doing that so...If a team is willing to adapt their offense so that every pass play involves getting out of the pocket, I'm sure Murray could have a decent NFL career. As it stands, he literally wouldn't be able to see over his lineman most of the time.
-
Russell Wilson was told the same thing.
Wilson is 5'11".
The shortest starting QB in NFL history with any level of excess is Doug Flutie and he was 2-3 inches taller than Murray.
I'll retract my "zero chance" statement and say there is a less than 5% chance.
-
He needs to stick with Baseball. Dude is like 5'7"...zero chance he makes it in the NFL as a QB.
-
Saw a video of him dunking on someone that was just nasty. I almost shed a tear for the poor kid he dunked on.

Can you do the bar MU? That is my goal in 2019 to get a bar MU. Not even sure I have what it takes to get one, but sure would like to get one if I can.
Yeah, I'm actually pretty good at them although in the work out coming off the bike they were a little tougher. Legs were shot which really affected my kip. I was still able to get all sets unbroken although some were probably not the prettiest.

Those high rep sets of squats are more of a mental test than anything. So brutal.
No doubt. those last 4-5 reps made me work harder than any PR I tried going for. No way I was banging out 17 reps only to fail on one of the last 3.
-
Down 6 pounds from last Wednesday.
Legs are beyond sore. On Tuesday did back squat, worked up to heavy set of 20 reps. Followed by a metcon that included wall balls and lunges.
Patriots 37 Chiefs 31 (OT)
in National Football League (NFL)

I’ve seen no less than 30 posts on Facebook from people crying about the roughing the passer call but not one word about the no call on the pick play the Chiefs got away with. The hate for the Patriots is real.
