  1. My only complaint is the hassle they put me through every year at renewal time to get a better rate. Same story for 3 years straight. I call them and tell them I'm paying "insert cost here" rate they charge and want a lower price. The guy/gal tells me there's nothing they can do and the rate is the rate. I tell them I want to cancel, they tell me they have to transfer me to someone else, the new guy/gal gets on the phone, I tell them I want to cancel and what do you know, I get a lower rate. The last 2 times I've told the first person to just go ahead and transfer me to the person that can give me the lower rate to try and avoid the "game" but still the same story.

  2. Around the National Mall area you can do all of those things. But it will be a lot of walking, but doable. Arlington is just across the Potomac from the Lincoln Memorial, though it's probably a mile away. Couple options. The Metro is an easy means to get around. But DC also has the bike rental stations you can get for just a few bucks and will get you to wherever you need.

We are staying in Chevy Chase and plan to take the metro or Uber to the Mall area when we go so we won't have our car with us. I thought maybe we could hit Arlington on the same day...of course we may do all of the monuments/museums/capitol in two days. I'll look into the bikes. It will be me, my wife, and my 10 year old.

  3. I agree but they have to let James get his first.

Side note, I watch often and when they do the tournament of champions games those questions are very difficult. I hate to sell James short but I'm not sure how he would do in a tournament of champions round vs Jennings or any of the other big winners. With that said, I would love to find out.

Didn't James get something like 40 questions in a row correct?
  4. Saw an article talking about the spiral symbol the walkers make. It had a quote from one of the writers tha said it was originally a symbol the children of the forest used. It was shown in the scene where they made the night king. Said the night king adopted it to mock the children. Not sure if that's true or him trying to mislead.

  5. All depends on when the shots were taken in relationship to when she blew. I would bet the .317 was for a PBT(preliminary breathe test) and not an actual Intoxilyzer which is used for DUI cases if blood isn't drawn. Regardless it sounds like this female has a problem if she's still drinking at the school while substituting.

I'd have to drink to be a middle school teacher.

  6. Depending on what you read or watch there are somewhat conflicting views about the Night King and the Night’s King. The one posted goes with the idea they are the same character and others go off the idea they are two different characters. I’m not sure where the video gets the information that the Night’s King sacrificed babies to the white walkers. It is true that they find out he was doing sacrifices but I’ve never found anything that went into details about what. All the information about him is a oral history since they destroyed all records of him.

The new series that is supposed to take place before the wall is built or around the time the wall is built should cover the Night’s King.

Here's an interesting read about them. I've never read the books so have to take this guy's word for it.

  7. Some theories going around the internet that Littlefinger is still alive. They are suggesting that one of the "Faceless men" was in his body when killed. They present some compelling evidence of this. I'd like it to be true.

There are betting lines in Vegas on who will win. Littlefinger was listed at +1000 as of last night so there is definitely some that believe he is alive.

    Brann is the favorite +220

  8. Has anyone ever been to Emerald Isle, NC?

The wife is in a wedding there in June and we're getting a VRBO for a few days, and were thinking of staying a little longer after the wedding party leaves but aren't sure what's there and if we'll like it.

My grandparents and Aunt and Uncle use to go every year. I went twice when I was younger. Last time was the summer before my freshmen year in high school, so 1989. I really don't remember much about it to be honest.
