Morris has the stats this year no doubt. Just seems to me he isn't around when UK needs him most. Usually b/c he has 3 or 4 fouls and is sitting next to Tubby.

Woo is 7 foot tall. How can a rebound go over his head?

I have wondered this for 3 years now. It happens to Woo, Carter and to Shagri when he was here. How can those guys not rebound??

I work with an intern who goes to UK. Her professor said something to hear yesterday, that he heard Morris has been in contact with an agent and may be suspended.

Supposedly what he told her was he heard this from a reliable source within the Athletic Dept ..??? I didn’t know if anyone else can put some claim to this rumor?? Don’t shoot the messenger. I’m telling the story that was told to me.

Anyone watch Stump the Schwab on ESPN Classic? I love that show.

Find a positive and post about it and maybe someone will be interested. BTW though boring positives like Tubby is a nice guy, and Bobby Perry plays the piano are broke and nobody is going to post. Negative things happen and negative posts are made. Find me something positive that's actually relevant. Find me PP's LOI or JL's. You'll have to look for anything positive.

Just like in the media. Negative things make more noise than Positive things.

The only times Lincoln County and Madison Central have played on the varsity level was a MC victory in 05 and two Lincoln Co. wins in 06.

 

They never played before 05.

 

Madison Central and Southwestern have played twice, when they were in the same district in 01 and 02. They split the series with SW winning at home in 01 and MC winning at home in 02. Whitley Co. won the district title in 01 and MC in 02 so I think you have the wrong team again.

That's what I meant. It was MC that SW lost too not LC.

^It's not so much intimidation that I care about. I agree that teams aren't intimidated much anymore. I want the swagger and confidence back on our side. I want UK's teams to play like they are the best team on the court and the opponent can't hang with them for a full 40 minutes. I want to see a team that plays like they know they're going to win. If we can get that attitude and style back, it would be far more important than an intimidation factor...of course, the two probably go hand in hand.

Exactly what I would like to see. Play with some swagger and confidence.

Walk on the floor knowing you are going to win and play like it.

Don't play scared and don't play afraid to make a mistake. Let it all hang out! I could live with things if they played like this every night.

That's how I coach now and thats how I played the game back in the day.

I get a kick watching the pregame of a UK game. There is always an older lady in the first row behind the crew that looks like she just got her hair "done".

Well I am not saying you are wrong in all these rumors you keep hearing that you are posting on here, because I dont know if they are true or not. But I would wait to post EVERY little thing you hear until actually atleast one of them end up being true.Because you have thrown out alot of stuff that you have "heard" in the last couple of days, but not a one of them has been proven true Im just trying to say you might not want to keep posting all this stuff, until atleast one of the things you been hearing is true...

Unless I am losing my mind. I don't remember throwing any rumors out? I just looked thru my post of the last couple weeks and didn't see any "rumors" I personally threw out.

The only rumor being the one in this thread. That hardly classifies as a lot of stuff.

To be fair I was told this at the beginning of the season and just now mentioned it. The only reason I did was to give some claim to what SSF said. To let him know that he wasn't alone in what he was told.

Really to be honest it probably is a fairly easy rumor to prove true. Most AD's want something done in cases like UK last year. If the coach doesn't do it. The coach knows it would fall back on him.

The call-in show was a complete joke. If you aren't going to take calls, then cancel the show, IMO. Now the Cats Pause guys that come on after Tubby took some hostile callers. Apparently Tubby was afraid of that.

They are smart enough not to take calls. Alot of coaches do this on their shows not a huge surprise.

I like Tubby and like many have said maybe he doesn't derserve the crap he is getting. However UK fans have always been this way. They expect alot and if you don't bring it home this happens.

( Not trying to spread rumors just saying I heard the say thing. I would call it a pretty creditable source.)

Lets not forget UK is a football school now.

Speculation, MSU. I've heard that a couple of times from different boards. Of course, you can never believe what the boards have to say, so I don't know if there is a sliver of credibility in it.

 

Also, apparently Tubby has to get to the Elite 8 this season to stay intact for the job. Sources say that Barnhardt asked Tubby for staff changes last year, Tubby refused, and Barnhardt left it on Tubby's shoulders this year if things didn't turn around. Whether that is true or not, I have no idea. I'm not bringing this information for people to bet money on, just what I'm "hearing."

I heard the same thing from a very good source within the program before the season.

Barnhardt wanted a change and Tubby didn't =. MB left it to Tubby to make the ship float.

I hope my Titans can find a team who wants him and can get rid of him!

If UK loses out and makes the NIT, I propose a boycott of the possible home game by the fans.

Wouldn't happen; B/c to most fans it is nothing more then a Social Event any how. It is esp that way now.... they can say " OH I have UK basketball tickets."

I actually disagree here...when Rick took over the UK fans would take anything deemed as moving towards success, than he made them the #1 program in the land (mid 90's).....the UK fans loved him, and never showed the ire that they do now......Tubby won his first year....and then the demise started....and this is where it lies now.

Yeah I agree with that but tubby coaching under Ricky P knew the pressure of winning at UK. He knew what the fans expected. Thats what I was trying to get at.

I would agree and disagree with you here. He knew what he was getting into when he took the job. back in 98. He knew how the UK fans were and how they would react if things got bad. Unfortunately for Tubby he hasn't done anything in the last 2-3 years to help himself.

Like I have said previously; You can get all the MCD's all americans you want. It comes down to developing talent once you get them to the school.

I don't know I have mixed feelings. I like Tubby as a person but it may be time for a new face.
