Man that comment sounds a lot like some of the OC fans before the OC/Russell game. But we proved all of them wrong.

That's allright. The bottom line is that Russell is the AA state champs and NCC is the A state champs. We will never know what the outcome would be because it won't happen. But rest assured NCC would be in for a dog fight. I'm not saying who would win. But on paper Mercer, Newport, Belfry and OC were supposed to beat Russell. You can see my point about the numbers. It just all looks good on paper. :thumb:

Almost everyone NCC played in the playoffs were supposed to be dogfights.NCC dominated every team in the playoffs.But you are right we will never know just how bad NCC would beat Russell,But rest assured they would.

Some COY voting is based on the regular season only. Bellevue's coach won for Class A.

That was for district not the entire state I think. I also am pulling for Bob,he really pulled them together this year.

How could you have Russell over NCC. newport just about beat Russell, and NCC killed Newport, and NCC wasn't even playing as good then as they were to end the year.

IMO it depends on who will be QB next year. The O-line and D-line will be just as good. The running game will be as good or better.We will have very good receivers, it just depends who will be throwing it to them.I beleive there will be 3 fighting for the QB job.

Michael Vicars from NCC. 6 foot 175 pound Running back had 28 carries and 220 yards rushing with 3 TD'S to help his team beat Somerset.

I hope it is the Cards you face, but, either one, Bardstown or Mayfield will give you all you want, I assure you...Somerset will not be easy either..

I never said it would be easy.And by no means am I insuating that those teams are push overs.All 4 teams aleft are quality teams and deserve to be there.NCC I beleive is the most balanced team in 1A and aren't going to be easy to stop.

NCC is a public school.Anyone can go there if they pay.LOL

From what I've heard LCA is a running team. If so then the Breds are going to take this one. They have a good enough secondary to consistantly cover the pass while stacking up on the run. I expect NCC to win the game by no more than 2 touchdowns, but they will win.

 

Comments about the Bellevue game since the thread is locked. No response is needed. Great job by the Breds. I underestimated their secondary. The secondary played good enough to cover the receivers even though the box was stacked. I don't know what happened to Bellevue's blocking. Adams was getting hit by 3 or 4 guys every play at the line, but usually the first guy or even second guy never took him down. Sometimes he was getting hit as soon as he took the hand off. It was an all around bad performance by the Tigers. I was glad to see Adams return the kick though. I hated to see them go out like this after such a great season.

Bellevue had a great season and we all commend them for working hard all year.NCC speed on offence was just more than they could defend.Sammy dropping back and running or passing to Canafax is hard to defend.When they drop more people back to help then they would give it to Vicars.It is just alot to defend.Again congrats on a great season Bellevue.

NCC is going to be tough to beat.They are very solid on D and on Offence they can pass it all over the place or run it all over place.

If that's true then that's a significant factor, far more than "tradition." As you know, I believe there is no substitute for varsity experience.

 

Of LCA's 8 seniors, all but 1 have 3 full years of varsity experience (the last one has "only" 2 years of experience. Also, 2 Juniors have 2 years of V. experience. I weigh that heavily; waaaaaay more than tradition.

 

If NCC has as many players with that kind of experience I will re-evaluate my prediction.[/QUOT

 

Yes all of there seniors have been starting for 2 years and 4have been 3 starting for 3 years.I know of 4 Jr's that this is there 2 year starting.They have 8 seniors starting total I think.
