Most issues on this forum arise from players changing teams, maybe this coach changed teams at one time. Maybe this is too technical, wait a minute technical is how this started. Does that mean if this coach had 29 techinicals that this instance would make thirty? I'm confused.

Please don't think that I was calling anyone a glutton. I have just been drinking and was looking for a fight and tried to pick one with RickyP. Oh my gosh I just called myself a glutton for drinking too much. Funny thing is, this is no longer true thanks to the good Lord. I honestly was just making a joke with RickyP.

Do you need to go home and change? I was just trying to lighten the mood. I am sure if anyone ever received a technical that it will have one of two explanations: "I didn't deserve it" or "I was trying to motivate my team." Never are they given for valid reasons, just watch Hoosiers, you will see.

I know that Rose Hill has had problems with a grade school coach getting technicals. I don't believe he has thirty yet.

All I know is that there is an investigation led by a, a, a Mr. Ness. He is some kind of Mafia expert. I don't think it looks good for RickyP.

I think that there are resources in those schools that are available, not in cycles but sustainable resources. They are both 3A, a good enrollment. They both have a good fan base. Most importantly, I think that they would have the most ability to retain the better players. Maybe that is just a personal view, but I've always thought that those schools have a better base, the issue in today's world is keeping that base.

If people would prefer the Ashland job in a perfect world, keep in mind that we as humans messed up the perfect world a little over 2000 years ago, then why is it not alluring? If I were looking for a job in the 16th region, I think that my best options for long term success would be Ashland and Rowan.

I'm cuious, if all the experts were coaches and they could choose a 16th region program to run for long term success, who would it be and why? Keep in mind that anyone can jump on 3 or 4 year bandwagon, I'm looking for a long term answer. What are your thoughts?

Frances, You are always so intuitive. During a session the author of the name might have been a little tipsy and felt like the Yak should hail from Norwegia. That is the past. Stories I hope that little yaks never hear. I am interested in who will take the position because hopefully the yaklets will become players.

The Yak ended up in Norwegia through a psuedo-cult experience that I had in college. A group of self-proclaimed athletes needed an identity that was original and one creative member chose the name. Believe it or not there are other yaks on this board and there are even little yaks loose in the Ashland Area. This is a secretive Society, so secret that I probably couldn't tell you where all the yaks are today. Most I believe migrated to the Cincinnati area. If you would happen to be at a field or gym and notice an odd sort of cheering motion, convulsion, whatever, it could be a yak. Have no fear however, they are harmless for the most part, but have been known to "stand their ground" if provoked. How was that for a whole lot of nothing?

Is there a required time period for the job to be posted? I noticed in other coaching changes there was a certain amount of time for notice. 30 days? What are the rules?

If RickyP were to get the job, would one of his assistants call them the flagshippers?

I thought that this thread was about the head coaching job at Boyd County. And if that is so, I have heard that the window to apply closes the 13th and at this time there are two applicants, one local and one from out of the area. I am suprised that there are so few applicants.

Oops, the poll, misspelled one word, other than that, seems logical. I think Russell is playing better and a loss to a rival is less than a shock. Just ask West or Boyd. I know East beat Ashland, but I watched a 7 yr old team that scores more than 40 points per game. (Apples and oranges I know) Fact is you can get ready to throw the polls out the window and decide it on the floor. Right now all we have are questions and soon we will have the answers. Why wouldn't you want to be the base? I think that there are certain angles that couldn't be improved upon. I knew a guy that was a base and was a better hitter that Rose Hill's cheerleading guru. As for you potions, I'm sure they were toxic.

If you acknowledge that someone was better and can identify where they were better, then you can get better. Too many people fail to realize their weaknesses and consequently fail to improve those areas. If you think that it was purely physical, the spin doc might be able to go into his lab and create flubber or something to enhance physical abilities. You know that he in the founder of Balcor.
