Where is it being played?

Another lackluster performance by the Thorobreds at home. It's going to be a short Post Season.

Pendleton played a very good game, hitting eleven 3 pointers. Allen missed several free throws but still had 22 points. Harrison looked lethargic after I think an 11 day lay off. Harrison failed to have anybody in double figures. Camp "Larry" sure didn't produce the same results as Camp "Cal".

Congrats to Scott High on the championship. Nice season for Coach Whitaker and the Thorobreds. 2015 not the typical Thorobred squad with too many errors, walks and hit batters. When have you ever seen a Coach Whitaker team make 11 errors in 3 games of the regional? Reaching the 10th Region finals was quite an accomplishment.

A lot of people will give it to the pitcher from Bourbon County, but should a pitcher who sometimes is DH be the POY? I think an everyday player deserves POY and Harrison County Catcher Robbie Stroub would be one of the frontrunners.

Final from the Hilltop. Panthers defeat the Thorobreds for the first time since 2001. Fleming improves to 6-10 while Harrison falls to 13-3.

Wow! Wildcats first win of the season if I'm not mistaken and the Thorobreds first loss of the year. Maybe Basketball wasn't a fluke. LOL

A tough schedule so far for sure. I am a little surprised in the lack of offense to this point.

I am not sure. I was unable to attend and just got a text with the final. Can someone provide some details please?

As someone mentioned, I have no idea what HC was doing on the inbounds play at the end of the game. You had two timeouts (each team took one) and that's the best play you could draw up??

Put me in that group Mustang speaks of. :lol2: time to switch gears to baseball/softball and junior has middle school volleyball getting in full swing. With my departure of the Fieldhouse this evening comes the close of basketball season for me. Was really hoping for a different outcome tonight, but it was not to be. NKY will have two representatives in the sweet 16. Congrats. :thumb:

I wasn't there and it may have been a lane violation, but HC had two FT's which they missed and the ball under their basket with 5 seconds and just didn't win. You can't ask for many more chances in the final 6-8 secs down 1.

I agree with you! Wait a minute, not sure I can agree with a Bengal fan about anything! LOL

True!!! Maybe the die-hard (original) 10th Region fans will boycott this finals and simply consider the tournament over. Or shut down the Fieldhouse and play the game at the Middle School in Alexandria, or perhaps a twin-bill with CovCath-Scott at the BOKC.

 

Actually, having joined the 10th in 1996, we are not exactly newbies. This is the first time in my recollection that we've had an all 37th District finals (or previous to re-alignment, an all 36th District finals).

Yeah Mustang I always said that you imposters need to go back to the 9th Region and leave us 10th Region Teams alone! LOL I just hope that Scott gives them a good game and it doesn't end up like the district finals. Good luck to whichever Northern Kentucky Team represents the 10th Region at Rupp!

Did anyone else see a lane violation that went unnoticed by the 3 officials with 8 seconds left in the game? What happened and why wasn't it called?

Can Scott get big time revenge tomorrow night?

A better question is how do three officials miss an obvious lane violation on Scott with 8 seconds to go

I wasn't there to see the lane violation, but with Thompson and Jenkins inside and the ball under your own basket with 5 seconds to go and you shoot a 3! I have a very hard time understanding that move. Hopefully someone who was there and a witness to the finish can help me to better understand.

So why in the world do you try a 3 pointer when you are down 1 and have the ball out under your own basket with 5 seconds left in the game? A 3 pointer is not a high percentage shot in case they didn't know. Unreal!

Tough way to end the season. Yet again the Thorobreds bow out in the Regional Semi-Final game.

No he isnt that good, he has not got quick lateral jukes, he is a sideways runner adn the only plays he had success with was the strech plays

 

he also doesnt have the overall breakaway speed, as he got ran down a lot.

And he is prone to injury.

And, costly fumbles! Instead of Let It Go!, Let Him Go!
