The year started out with two games at Rocco Ortenzio Stadium (Bishop McDevitt High School) in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, marking my first time catching a game there but my second time seeing these all-star games. My next two all-star games would take me to West Virginia and then to Kentucky. The game in Kentucky was the first time I made the drive to catch the Northern Kentucky All-Star.   3. First to get back under 200 then back to what I was back in 1996, which was 173.
  4. I actually started yesterday. Starting weight 225 I won't post daily but will weigh in daily. My reason for daily weigh in is strictly do to my need to see the numbers good or bad.

  6. The Panthers (10-4) had to work hard to post the eight-point win over a spunky Golden Griffins (6-6) team last night on the home court. The home team winners hit 48.3% of their shots while the road team hit 45.8% of their shots. Duke Miles (Montgomery, AL) led the Panthers with 17 points and 4 assists. Juslin Bodo Bodo (Yaounde, Cameroon) recorded a double-double with 10 boards and 10 points. For Canisius, Tre Dinkins (Chester, PA) had a game-high 25 points to go with 4 assists.
  7. The Mustangs (9-4) eased to the win over Murray State (3-9) tonight. Chuck Harris led the road team with 16 points, 5 boards, and 5 assists. Ricardo Wright (Eustis, FL) came off of the bench to put 12 points. For the racers, Quincy Anderson (Oshkosh, WI_ led the way with 18 points and 3 steals.

  9. Purdue (11-1) dominated the Dolphins (8-5) last night as they posted the 43-point win. Zac Edey (Toronto, ON) led the winners with 18 points and 8 boards. Purdue hit 51.5% of their shots from the field For the Dolphins, Robert McCray V (Columbia, SC) had a game-high 22 points to go with 3 boards. The Dolphins hit just 36.8% of their shots.
  10. The Buckeyes (10-2) overwhelmed New Orleans (5-7) last night in Columbus, Ohio. Both teams started out throwing up brick after brick but Ohio State slowly started hitting shots while the Privateers continued missing shots. Overall the winners would end up hitting at a 44.6% clip while the visitors hit an ice-cold 25%. The Buckeyes had 10 different players score, with transfer Jamison Battle (Robbinsdale, MN) leading the way with 17 points. He also had 9 boards and 4 assists. Zed Key (Bay Shore, NY) getting a rare start chipped in with 16 points, and 5 boards. Jordan Johnson (Memphis, TN) led New Orleans with 7 points.
  11. Rice (6-6) started slow but shook off the poor start to pound the Panthers5-6) by 26 points. The Owls hit 52.4% from the floor while the Panthers were arctic cold hitting just 33.3% of their shots. Leading the winners was Travis Evee (Randolph, MA) with 28 points and 5 boards. He is one of the fastest guys I have watched play this season. Leading the Panthers with 16 points was Javontae Hopkins (Houston, TX).
  12. Iowa (7-5) hit 50% of their shots from the field in the win over an outmatched but game UMBC (5-9) last night in Iowa. Leading the winners was Tony Perkins (Indianapolis, IN) with 23 points, 7 assists, 6 boards, and 4 steals. Giving aid in the win was Payton Sandfort (Waukee, IA) with 18 points, 10 boards, and 6 assists. For the Retrievers, who hit 46.4% of their shots Dion Brown (Great Barrington, MA) totaled 23 points and 3 assists.

  16. The Bearcats (9-2) shook off a slow start to beat up the Merrimack Warriors (5-7) last night in Cincinnati. The Bearcats hit 5 threes in the win where overall they shot 43.6% from the field. For the Warriors, they hit 9 threes while hitting an ice-cold 34% from the floor. Victor Lakhin (Anapa, Russia) led Cincinnati with 18 points and 7 boards. For the Warriors, Jordan Dekack (Colonia, NJ) led the team with 18 points. He was the only Warrior in double figures.
  17. The Hoosiers (8-3) erased a late 15 point deficit with a 17-0 run as they posted the one point win over a pesky Eagles team (8-4)last night in Indiana. Neither team shot the rock very well as the winners hit just 39.7% shots while the losing Eagles hit 38.5%. Anthony Walker (Baltimore, MD) led Indiana with 18 points as he played 23 minutes. He also had 9 boards. For the Eagles, Jordan Lathon (Grandview, MO)had a game high 30 points to go with 6 boards.
