I was just about to post the same thing. Not this whole thing is going to cost him money, or a good career in the NBA, but this all could hve never happend if he had just stayed where he was supposed to.

Thats the question I have. If everyone was so against it, why didnt anyone voice their opinion? I would hope that if 18 coaches voice their displeasure with the 6 class system, someone would listen. :confused:

Very sad, my thoughts and prayers go out o his family and friends. The love for this game in the state is tremendous, I just hope that people realize that things like this can happen, and remember its JUST A GAME. (not saying anyone person is at fault.)

That link you gave is dead on the money, its 36 in 6a, 5a, 4a, 3a. 37 in 2a, and 39 in 1a.

This maybe a dumb question, but if they are using the avg of the last two years, is it possible a school on the low-end of a class can drop their enrollment 15-20 boys to get put in the high-end of a smaller class?

I am confused with the whole Highlands situation. I was comparing numbers, and it does not match up. In Sandman32's list he has just about everyone right....except Highlands, Taylor Co, and Mason Co. He has them in 4a with 9 schools behind them. However the KHSAA has them in 3a, but those 9 "smaller schools in 4a. Unless the numbers a that different I dont know.

What I dont understand is that if all the coaches voted against it....why would they still do it.

He said he talked to a couple coaches... dont know what that means though. His stance is that they should have went to 3 classes, rather than expand to 6. I disagree with him on this. I thought with him being a graduate of Dixie he would have an understanding of Ky football.....guess not.

This was talked about on the 2 angry guys show this morning, and Richard Skinner was bashing this new format big time.

I think you bring up a good point, but would they have been allowed to up back then? If so...you would think if they were ever going to move up, it would have been back in the 90's when they were so dominate.:thumb:

IMO, I think Beechwood, getting a new coach, would not want to jump into 2A for a couple years anyway. Atleast with that rule, they wont feel pressure to move up.
