  1. I agree. There will be few opportunities to have a team like that again. My question is why continue this schedule? Who is it for, the players or the coaches. There is something to be said about winning and celebrating with family, friends, and teammates afterwards, not a three hour bus ride.

You are not new here....look it up.

  2. I just don't get continuing with this scheduling. As I said on another thread, who is it for, the players or the coaches. When half of your games are out of town, what is the fun of football wins when you are on a bus instead of with friends, family, and teammates.

We haven't had any choice....and it has paid off ten fold...

  3. Jason, I think it wears you down emotionally, physically, and psychologically.

We can debate this and you definitely bring up some excellent points but at the end of the day T lost to X and that game is more important than all the others so far put together.

We ran into a perfect storm (no pun), last night.....no more, no less......we'll be just fine....don't anyone be concerned.....just fine.

  4. Having that amazing target out there would have relieved a lot of the pressure. The question is: in what sort of shape will he be when he comes back?

Of any position on a football field.....WR is THE ONE position where that doesn't have as much of an impact, as any other......as long as he didn't add any lbs, he should be just fine.

  5. Can someone elaborate to me on how big a difference there is in the talent at T than there is at X? I heard that a lot this week. I guess X is just that much better coached which led to their ability to overcome such a talent deficit.

X had a better game plan last night, and their players were very hungry.....our TO's hurt us, AGAIN, and gave X a short field, they capitalized, and had momentum.....if we both make it far enough, I feel we will turn the tide again, as I feel we had the better talent on the field.

  6. After having won 10 state championships in 12 years (correct me if I'm wrong) and now going 6 - 6 in 2013 and 4 -3 in 2014 with a 35 - 21 loss to rival St. X (so far), how long will Lampley and the Trinity staff / Alumni accept this current state of affairs??? I have long believed that coach Beatty is worthy of a college coaching job at a higher level. He has proven to get his teams to rise to the occasion many times in the past. Just wonderiing if he sticks around much longer will is marketability at the next level be diminished. At 10 - 9 over the last 19 games, one has to scratch your head and wonder... This question is offered in constructive form for discussion. There is no question he has proven himself at Trinity!!!

At 3:07 in the morning.......I have a hard time believing that you're looking for constructive conversation.......:wacky:
