Same has happened with the ryle girls basketball team..there have been several girls who have quit the team and parent complaints this year because of the coaching and his tactics during practice...know this for a fact because a girl who started last year for ryle doesnt even play this year and i have spoken with several of the girls players. Also, why hasn't Ryan Luster played much for Ryle? This kid would be a top player at Holmes had he not left but all he's doing at Ryle is riding the pine. Im sure there's a good reason for this??

I wouldnt agree with that...Jefferson caused him to get into foul trouble and thats why they made a defensive switch. IMO these two are about the same, cant pick one over the other...DJ dominates with his athleticism and vision but timmy t is more fundamental

back and forth first half and covcath pours it on in the second half. i really thought Holmes could win this game but it would take a great effort to do so. If Holmes wants to the win the region they need to start playing better team ball. Also Edmondson needs to step up, taking threes from 30 feet, down five isn't helping the team...look for the best shot and then take it. His D is great right now but he needs to stop rushing his shots and relax. If he comes around, Holmes can still win region. By the way, Arrez Henderson had a nice dunk in the first or second quarter in traffic. This kid is something else. Covcath played amazing tonight. The refs (not complaining, the better team won) were a little shaky tonight. Duran's 4th and 5th fouls were definetly not fouls and anytime a Holmes player went to the rim, an obvious foul would not be called. Edmondson got pushed into the covcath student section on a 3 and there was no call..very poor officiating game caused this game to get out of reach like this..but like i said, the better team won, bottom line. look to see these two teams again in round 3 of the regionals...but we all know what happened last time everyone predicted that...Holmes definetly has the easier road and it will be interesting to see how they rebound from a big loss like this....kinda feel sorry for dixie

Didn't see this one coming..thought for sure that Ryle would win the district. Now instead of playing NCC in round one, they must face Covcath...tough break raiders.

congrats to dixie on winning the 34th...their prize? a round one match up against defending 9th region champs, holmes. I still dont see why ludlow doesnt try to go to penick more when he's facing kids that he's 6 inches taller than. Dixie has been hot as of late though.

round one Holmes over dixie- dixie keeps it close in the first quarter then holmes comes out in the second quarter and starts to pour it on...holmes comes out in the second half and the trio of DJ, Austin Hill, and Henderson takes over the game to put it out of reach just like game 1...holmes by 10-15 Ncc over Conner- probably the best first round game besides the holmes dixie game...game stays close until the fourth quarter before ncc starts wearing down conner with their inside presence of kiernan...NCC by 7-10 Covcath over Ryle- Ryle has a nice showing in the first quarter to keep it within 5 points, then like they've done all year, the colonels come out in the second quarter and put it out of reach by halftime...covcath by 15-20 Highlands over Ludlow- game shouldnt be close...highlands has the easiet first round game out of any of the teams. Highlands by we'll say 13-17 Semi-Finals Holmes over NCC- NCC stole one away from Holmes in the regular season on the hill after Holmes built a 16 point lead...dont see NCC beating Holmes twice in the same year, Holmes by 10-12 Covcath over Highlands- arguably one of the best semi finals match ups in the state...Covcath comes out fired up after their earlier loss at home to Highlands and Highlands keeps it close until the second half where the colonels take over...we'll say Covcath by 7-10 FINALS: Covcath VS Holmes: round three...holmes dominates at home in game 1 (although the score didnt show it) and covcath blows holmes out of te gym in the district championship...let's see how holmes responds to the district championship loss and ill make my prediction at a later date
