What are some names that should be thrown out as a great fit for the job?

I agree. I think the talent is there and the feeder programs are in GREAT shape right now. I think if the right coach is hired and the program wants to take the right steps then LC could be up and running as a mountain power in no time. Just have to wait and see and stayed tuned to see what happens. I am in Johnson County 5 days a week and people that know me know that I am from Lawrence County have asked me everyday this week what I am hearing, thats the interesting part LOL:lol:

From what I have been told is that since this story has broke it has been a wave of gossip all over the state. Kinda interesting if you ask me.

I sincerely dont see Chuke coming back. Heck, I dont see the possibility of him even considering it.

I dont think it HAS to be Wishbone or Maryland I or any type of Wing offense 100% of the time. Just to have a very solid running game and mix in the pass just enough to keep the linebackers and ends from crowding the LOS. The 1999 LC team did this almost perfectly. They would beat you up with Hughes and West and when you started to crowd the LOS they would throw to Parker. That same kind of philosophy is what I personally think would work with Lawrence County kids.

I do wonder however if offensive scheme will become a factor in the hiring of a new HC?

LC is one of the greatest places to coach in the entire state when things are going right. When things are going wrong then its almost impossible to recover. I will say that much.

It's sad to say but "politics" are going to have to be ignored for LC to get back where they need to be.

Coach Goldsmith is a very great person and loves all his kids. Was always there to make kids laugh and to learn. I wish him the best anywhere.:ylsuper:

This name never crossed my mind but I would be happy with it. IMO, a real fast hire would be a HUGE mistake at this point.

I dont know about that, I guess they are just lucky Son, that Raceland 6th grade is one heckuva football team. Got one of the best young centers coming up:thumb:

If he is interested and if he believes he can do a good job then I expect to hear his name thrown around. LC just needs someone to come in here and light a fire under the entire program. The youth leagues are developing great talent and sending them to the high school level and from there it just seems to drop off.

I was waiting for you to jump on this topic Chad Tackett from what I have been told from asking around could possible be a very good fit for LC. One thing however you cant do as a head coach at LC and expect to be productive is play politics. An external hire is what we need.

Does anyone think some bigger names will apply for the job than what we in LC expect??

Ive heard the same as well as Boyle County being a possibility.

I hope he doesnt stop coaching but I could understand why.
