I really think that they would be better suited for d2. The school is smaller than some high schools. Take a look at the enrollments at the Missouri Valley schools and I think you will see that they just won't realistically be able to provide the resources to compete at this level IMO. It's not a real glamorous job. I'd be willing to bet that they have one of the lower enrollments in all of D1. Roberts Stadium is OK, but their on campus facilities are no better (or even worse) than many high schools in the area. Jim Crews had some success in their former conference (MCC, I think)) but they have never really been a good fit IMO in the Missouri Valley. All of their glory days are at the D2 level. Although it has almost been 30 years, in some ways that program has never recovered from the crash.
