Any word on who the new incoming freshmen are?

I’ve heard a rumor Tayden has family on staff is that true? Also curious how he has grown and progressed? Will the staff finally make him a key point in the offense? Really excited to see him play this year.

What’s the word on any incoming freshman from out of district? Is there any transfers? Any new coaches or new roles for existing coaches?

Not saying all 4 will be starters. That won’t happen. But will they all be on special teams? Very likely, will all 4 get some meaningful snaps at their respected positions? I think it’s likely.

Look for Dom Listerman to sneak in the rotation and be a special teams player as well.

I think it helps at the freshmen level Highlands is steamrolling the competition in NKY. They play a GCL school, and the rivalry with Cov Cath is alive and well.

Heard rumors that O’Hara is looking to transfer. IF that is true, (completely hear say) what will Cooper do at QB?

I think some of the top programs figure if you schedule tough in state it won’t hurt as bad to take a big out of state game. The point of scheduling regular season games is to get your team battle tested heading into playoff football. I don’t see to many teams being more battle tested than these Blue Birds

I would say they are every bit of 6’5 with even more room to grow. And the Benke family is really bought in. I would say they will put on weight no problem

4A is so top heavy. Contenders are (not in order) Highlands, Cov Cath, Johnson Central, Ashland, Franklin Co, Boyle Co, Corbin, PT. By my count that’s 8 teams that can realistically compete for a state championship.

Defensively expect the Benke twins to have MONSTER years.

Offensively expect John to step up and play a big role, Chase Jacob’s as well. Gabe Williams will be a game changer at running back due to his ability to break the long run. Cale Harris I expect to be the ultimate utility knife, and of course Tayden Lorenzen to stake his claim as one of the best players in the state. With this brutal schedule, don’t be surprised to see a few more L’s in the regular season than we are use to seeing BUT I don’t see to many teams in the state being as battle tested as this squad heading into playoff time.
