  1. Craig Foley out as the head coach at Frankfort… Heard his name mentioned as an interviewee yesterday.
  2. I agree 110% with everything you just said. But, speaking in recent years just in Coach Crutchfield’s tenure. It is the hardest thing in the world trying to get a high school program revamped, middle school program, and little league. You have to have help. That was the point I made earlier yesterday about getting solid working assistants to help with everything. It’s tough. You have to have full on community support, and most importantly administrative support. Lincoln’s little league football program is a complete disaster and anyone from there knows exactly why. The point I’m making is, it takes a village and it takes a lot of hard working people with the time and patience to help at all levels. If it’s truly about the kids of Lincoln County, then everyone should jump on board to help in any way possible.
  3. Absolutely!! Totally agree. You have to have guys that can be game changers. But, the main point I was trying to make is that, kids have to buy in to what the coach expects out of them, how they represent the name on the front of the jersey on and off the field. I think Crutchfield and his staff absolutely did that. I think those kids bought in and that’s why Lincoln has gradually had success build up over the past few years. Of course it takes the right pieces to the puzzle. But, you have to have kids buy in to what the coach wants and expects out of them. I think they let a great coach slip out of their hands in Crutchfield and I hope they don’t let another great coach in Rogers slip out of their grasp too. Rogers can keep those kids bought in to what is expected within the program.
  4. I think whoever the coach is they will have growing pains within the next year or two. The future is very bright with the incoming freshman class. Davis is one of those “once in a lifetime” players coaches get to have. The kid was special and so was the offensive line. Those pieces are hard to replace with a snap of a finger. So, it’s totally understandable for Lincoln to maybe have a rebuild year.
  5. Crutchfield built the program back to where it needed to be absolutely. He completely changed the culture in Lincoln County. I think to keep the program where it’s at from top to bottom. Rogers is the only acceptable choice for these kids. If they don’t make that hire, more than likely this program takes a steep dive back to where it was before Crutchfield stepped in.
  6. Being around Lincoln Football for awhile, I think Rogers is the only person out of the four mentioned that should be even considered. That’s for the sake of the football program and Lincoln County as a whole. I know that the community is not happy with the way they let Crutchfield go and not trying to fight Garrard from getting him. We will see if they fight for Rogers or let him slip up and go to Garrard as well.
  7. I would say that more than likely happens… Rogers ends up at Garrard when it’s all said and done. I also agree a few key players may just make the trek north too.
  8. I agree 110%. They need to hire the right guy or I can see some kids heading west on 150 or north on 27. Rogers should’ve already been hired. He’s the right man for the job. But again, I think what’s holding them back from giving it to him is the lack of assistant coaches he can bring in to help.
  9. Not sure…. I was told that two had been interviewed and those were the two names I received. Foley was on the Lincoln campus within the last few days I was told. Jaggers interview was not considered official in person I’m assuming. I’d say his was over the phone. Either way, I do trust those will be your top two candidates. I don’t see Rogers or Cooper getting hired from what I have heard.
  10. I wasn’t sitting in on the interview! Ha! But my source is very reliable. I trust it.
  11. Hearing the two interviewees have been… 1. Josh Jaggers (LaRue County) 2. Craig Foley (Frankfort) I think both have a good shot, but Foley and current Lincoln County principal Michael Godbey worked in the Frankfort school district together in recent years. So we can all take that for what it’s worth…
  12. I could see an issue arising out of possible hiring within Lincoln’s current staff. (That being Rogers or Cooper) Who would those guys get to help them as assistant coaches if one was hired? Crutchfield ran into the same problem as the head coach it seemed. I think it could be a major issue trying to find quality assistants to help at Lincoln County. Honestly, that could be for any coach they hire. If you were to hire a current head coach away, he could possibly bring some of his current staff with him. But again, that doesn’t always happen either. I think that’s something the administration needs to ask/address in the hiring process with all candidates.
  13. Levi Rogers has applied for the job. From what I have gathered from a very reliable source, there are 4 people being considered for the job. Interviews have been taking place with 2 of the 4 already been completed. So hopefully we will know something within the next week.
