I know. I’m terrified of her. In all seriousness though, if she was the team wrecker she’s being made out to be, and Dale knew it, I highly doubt he’d knowingly let BW inherit the fate he was trying to avoid. I’ve heard there was a lack of talent coming up in the pipeline, which may have been the case, but that also seems like a raw deal for BW. The only way I put any stock in the lack of talent or Ginger Webb theories is if BW knew them in advance and wanted to take on the challenge anyway. I don’t think Dale would jump ship, and recommend his right hand man, knowing he was setting him up to fail. So it was either BWs choice to tackle those issues or none of it’s true, and he just didn’t work out. I don’t think it’s the fault of the “faithful” or “unrealistic expectations”. Highlands hadn’t had a losing season since 1955. They’re 3rd all-time nationally in wins and have 23 state championships. It’s the best public school system in the state and it didn’t all the sudden become an undesirable job in the last 6 years. They’ll be fine. They’ll get a good coach, re-energize the base, and put this behind them.

I’d love anyone with clear cut facts on what exactly Ginger Webb did at Highlands to hinder BW to speak up. Otherwise, it’s all speculation and an excuse. I know it wasn’t Ginger Webb’s decision to play a platoon system and have the 3 best athletes only play defense. Not saying it was all BWs fault, maybe there was a drop off in talent, which happens. Or maybe there were budget cutbacks and enrollment issues facilitated by Webb, but no one has presented any factual evidence of this. Could just be that he wasn’t the right man for the job and it didn’t workout. I’ve heard many more opinions that support this, as opposed to an administrator undermining the program.
