I don't know much about Woodford County. Any thoughts or predictions on this one?

I just think they are a much more balanced team this year with a different offensive mentality. But like any team, if they can stay out of foul trouble and play balanced ball, they'll surprise some folks.

You may be right. I wouldn't overlook Grant though. They will have 3 of the 5 starters scoring 12-15 points/game with 2 of 5 scoring 15-20 points/game. They're a pretty balanced team. They'll go 7-8 deep, aggressive defense, great ball handling, outside shooters and plenty of speed. It should be a great game when they meet.

I believe Walton is the team to beat in this district. With Grant and SK fighting for 2nd and a trip to the region.

Ryle came out in a 2-3 zone and Grant quickly took a 17-1 lead. Ryle called timeout and went to a man defense. Grant shot terrible in the 2nd qtr. and Ryle did a great job contesting inside shots the rest of the way. The intentional foul was actually called on #40 from Ryle (not Rankin). It was a hard foul but I wouldn't say it was intentional. In the end, Grant shot 28% from the field, 40% from the arc and 82% from the line (27 of 33). I think that says a lot about Ryle's inside defense and Grant's ability to hit from the perimeter. Holding a team to 28% from the field and still losing by 10 is probably the bigger story.
