Final from Independence. Simon Kenton had balanced scoring with Webb 14, Kelch 13, Ober, 12, Pernell 11 to win over a very young St. Henry team.

SK returns all of their starting lineup so, are definitely a force in the 8th. They are not deep off the bench and that may be an issue. Staying out of foul trouble will be a priority. I think Grant has the potential to do well in the region as well. Looking forward to some good competition in the region.

Tim Moore has been a staple at Simon Kenton for many years. He is an enthusiastic announcer who brings a lot of energy to the game atmosphere. It doesn't matter which team scores he makes it special. I can in my mind hear him announce...." (whatever player) for threeeeee!

The Lady Pioneers played tough and were down only by 12 at half ( sorry JF) and 13 at end of the 3rd. Some costly turnovers by the Neers and SHA scored a lot in transition in the 4th Q. The kids just ran out of steam down the stretch. It was certainly something to build on.

The Neers need to lock and load. In the next seven games on their schedule 5 are in the top 12 in the state. This is going to be a good warm up for Districts and Regionals. Good luck Lady Pioneers, play hard.

The starting lineup got pulled :48 seconds into the 2n quarter. So, the pioneers played with 2nd string and jv players for 23 minutes of the game. I guess Stowers was sending a message to his players, although I'm not sure what that message was.
