Sorry, but I don't think the Rebels are big on moral victories, especially given the margin of this one. This start is not something they or Smith are used to.

There are good and bad on both sides, just like there are exceptions to every rule. However, anyone that watches AAU basketball knows it's nothing like high school. That goes for EYBL, UA, Adidas and most everything else out there. It's a whole different ballgame, literally. I'm sure there are some AAU coaches that would do well in high school but, at least in my opinion, they'd be the exception not the norm.

I DID NOT say Coach Cook didn't have quality assistants. He's no dummy. He took them with him! Mercer needs to be careful not to settle. That's all.

If he works there it'd be in a classified position, not a certified one. While it would be a bonus to keep Treyvon , it'd be bad judgment to hire a coach in hopes of keeping a player. Even if it worked out that way, the player would be there for 2 years. The coach could end up being much more permanent. You shouldn't settle on a coaching hire due to considerations over one player.

I would be more than shocked if they hired an AAU coach. Unfortunately, Coach Cook didn't leave behind a strong assistant. That would've been helpful! Chris Huff should receive a high level of consideration.
