Bezold and Weyer the top 2 players in the region IMO. Weyer has great skills and is bigger, but Bezold is heady and knows how to score in crunch time. Hope Weyer is able to play if/when NewCath plays Holy Cross later in this All-A tournament. Will be a great game.

Teamwork and execution prevails for Holy Cross. Bezold scored at will. Newport has some good individual players but no concept of playing together. All "me" and not "we." I think Holy Cross vs. NewCath will be great battle, could go either way.

No, Newport deserved to win. It was their "celebrating" after the game that really sticks out to all Holy Cross fans and parents. Time for payback Wednesday. I will say to expect the Holy Cross kids to show class and not act like they won the regional tomorrow just over winning, unlike another team last year. And you do not have more access than me when it comes to Ninth Region basketball, believe it.

Mullins was at Holmes when school started in August but somehow gets to Newport within the allotted time to be eligible? How. Please tell me how.

I NEVER said the coaches said anything about Snapp. That was MY comment after seeing him play several times last year and this year. The coach commented on Mullins transfer from Holmes. I will be more than happy to disclose the reasons for his transfer from Holmes if it will not get me a suspension from this forum.

That is the point. Mullins ends up at Newport in September and is still eligible, Rienhart then shows up as a coach. Hmmmm. Not a hater at all. I know a lot more than you think. I know the Holmes people really good and know all about Mullins and his transfer. And Rinehart as well.

One of the HC coaches said Mullins ended up at Newport from Holmes, that one of the coaches now at Newport (Rinehart) was at Holmes before. The Newport coach is more interested in his son getting shots than getting the other players involved in the offense. lol!

Not worried about Newport. lol. See they got beat by 40 points against NCC last week. Barely beat Highlands before that. Holy Cross will win by double figures. I don't need to pray for that to happen. It will!

Like Big Ben against Denver. lol! Weyer will play, not that NCC needs him to win this one.

Bezold and Schrand the best duo in the region on one team. Bezold has been unstoppable in the lane and is great at ft line. Schrand does everything on court to make his team win. Holy Cross remembers last years game vs Newport and all the talking the Wildcats did after winning. Turn about is fair play Wednesday!

Why does the team decide to bring him back? Where is the superintendent and coach?

Holy Cross will win 72-60, with or without Mullins. Still can't understand how he is allowed back. Newport coaching staff stooping to low levels. Holy Cross better coached and plays as a team. Newport 5 individuals only worried about who scores the most points. Go Tribe!

How is it possible for Newport to allow Mullins back on the court? If I'm the Holy Cross coach I would probably be happy cause Mullins will disrupt the chemistry Newport has.

They played with 4 players? Is that right? Why? Is that allowed?

Does Bellevue play 5 guys at a time? Do they have 5 players? If not, that explains 14 points. I could score 14 points myself and I'm in my late 30's.

Is this score football or girls basketball? 14 points for a whole game?
