If there was a wild card game, I think this is one of them. I don't consider this an easy pick. I do believe that Pikeville is the favorite, but a Hazard win wouldn't surprise me at all.

Your correct! In no way is this one an easy pick! 2 VERY evenly matched teams! Giving the edge to Hazard who seems to be dangerous explosive right now!

Hazard rushed for 622 yards on Williamsburg. Cory Smith had 401 yards on 29 carries and 4 touchdowns. Hazard on attempted 2 pass and 1 went 80 yards for a touchdown and the other was picked off.

Good NIGHT that's a LOT of TOTAL yards on the ground, also GREAT game by Corey Smith! That kid is a Big threat to ANY team opposite of him!

I said in another thread that if Raceland plays like they did last night we would get beat badly. Having said that I don't see that Paintsville has suddenly gotten so much better and we've gotten so much worse. In fact the argument could easily be made that since the first meeting we have done far more to be prepared for this matchup. We have played Russell who is better than anyone on Paintsville schedule, BB is better than any team Paintsville has played since our game and Nicholas who is admittedly better than I gave them credit for. Like I said in another thread Nicholas has the best o-line we've seen all year including Ashland, Russell and Paintsville. In that same time period Paintsville has played 3 gimme games where they have been in cruise control. I think it will be a whale of a matchup this week I don't know who will win but I think you are sorely mistaken if you think the Rams will just come in and roll over for Paintsville like their last 3 opponents have.

Oh maybe you misunderstood. In no way do I think Raceland will come in and roll over! They haven't done that for anyone all year! They will give Paintsville a hard fought physical game just won't be anything like the last one on the score board! Paintsville will control the tempo for the most part of the first half and then put some distance on the Rams in the 3rd!

Trinity, Bowling Green, and Mayfield are probably all three favorites to win out.

I expect Beechwood to pull this one out and not get really tested until the Semi Finals! However, should they get through the Semi's they'll get tested by the East!!! Plenty!!

Expect Paintsville to put this one away convincingly! The TIGERS D was strong in their first matchup but it's at an entirely new level now! Throwing the ball has proven extremely difficult against Paintsville and That's the best option because running the ball on the Tigers is not gonna work plus with the amount of FIRE Paintsville is playing with right now, it's gonna make for a long night for Raceland! Seems the Rams have lost some motivation since their first matchup!

Paintsville/Raceland have a rematch next Friday in the regional championship! Hazard will be playing Pikeville in their regional! The 2 winners will play in the state semi!

Ashland's football season unfortunately will come to an end in Paintsville!

Paintsville will be hosting Raceland in the Regional Championship next Friday! The TIGERS appear very focused and as good as they have looked all year! Paintsville coming off a lopsided win over Fairview! Raceland coming off a hard fought game over Nicholas Co! Should be good!

Paintsville looking very strong right now! Defense is playing outstanding! KP had a big night tonight with over 300yds rushing! The 12-0 TIGERS will be hosting 10-2 Raceland (who pulled out a hard fought game against Nicholas) in the Regional Championship next Friday!

I am also hearing that Hazard has a few kids out for the season. All play significant minutes and a think 1 is a starter. I think its a total of 3 kids and all are out with season ending knee injuries and one who has already had knee surgery.

Yes I got to witness some of his work at the first 1A Paintsville/Raceland meeting that went into OT!

I'm expecting to see more of the same from the offensive side of the ball for Paintsville but also using this game to work on a couple new weapons to better arm the Tigers for Regions! As for Defense more of the same! Continue covering the pass and smothering out the Rush! Paintsville comes out Extremely focused!
