All I know is Ashland is still playing football while Highlands is getting ready for basketball. :lol2:
Not for long!
-
Think this one will be a good one!
-
From what I understand they got some players back that had been injured so that's good! With that said I look for big gap in the score differential! More so than the first!
-
Should I go to this game or Ashland/Bourbon as a football fan making a one hour drive?
Just my opinion but I see the Ashland/Bourbon game being a closer more competitive game! May be wrong but looking for Bourbon to take that one in a close game and Raceland to take this one convincingly!

Found it!!

Good to keep some humor! It'll help get you through the tuff games!

No way Hazard wins by 21. This is a 7 to 10 point game either way at best. Williamsburg has played a tougher schedule and for the most part competed in all of them. I don't know who will win but it will be close.
I am probably a little high on Hazard score. I do think it'll be more like
Hazard 36
Williamburg 21

Be a tough one for FS this go around but the more I think on it the more I think FS carries on to the 3rd round! FS needs to try not to think to much of the BIG Black and Gold monster at the end of the Rainbow! Just get as deep as you can!

Russell just too much for PCC! Russell has a very good team this year just unfortunatly they have Belfry in their way!
-
Ashland won this game last season 49-21. That was a first round home playoff game. Thoughts? Predictions
Don't think it will be the same story this season! Getting to watch both of these teams in person, I will give Bourbon the upper hand in this one! Bourbon has been a little underrated this year and with their solid QB and Defense I look for them to knock off Ashland!
BC 28
Ashland 22

Raceland bringing more than some rain with them to Nicholas Co this time! They will bring a LOT of HARD HITS and First downs! Rams just too much for Nicholas Co to handle in this one! I don't think it'll be a running clock but it will be WELL out of reach for Nicholas by the end of the 3rd!

Hazard 42
Jackets 21
Hazard's Battering Ram Corey Smith has a BIG game in this one!
-
The number 1 team in 1A should move on to Round 3 convincingly, to face what could be a rematch between the TIGERS AND the RAMS! Gonna be a tough hard hitting Regional final to determine who moves on to the State Semi!
-
Great Job Bourbon!!!
-
530 yards of offense by the Tigers and Defense was on point! Great job boys! Keep it up!
-
Hopefully Beechwood gets through to Russellville and gets past em and hopefully Paintsville makes it to semis and gets over either Hazard/Pikeville. Would love to see the Paintsville/Beechwood matchup! Battle of the Tigers! First we have to start with Paris! Step 1!
-
Look for Corey Smith to have a big game tonight!
-
Almost Time for Raceland RAMS to handle their BUSINESS! Bailey Walker with 150yds and breaks for 2 TD's Tonight! Cherry has 2 TD receptions and Davidson will run one in himself!
-
There is ample seating at Raceland. Allot of Raceland fans stand around the track so there's usually room to set and enjoy the game! This will be a good one to go watch!
-
GAMEDAY!!!

Joe Jackson stepping out !!!
This young man will be one of the top RB's in the state for the next 2 years! Great talent!
-
James Allen and Chris Allen of Paintsville! Even though they're already making a name they've got 2 more years to make it bigger! Freshman JW Phelps (younger brother of Kent Phelps) is also a loaded gun to look out for in the near future!
-
Hazard 35
Harlan 14

It's gonna be a long night for the Mustangs!

The wing-t gives teams with lesser talent a chance to compete with or even beat teams with better talent. Less talented teams who are well trained in the offense can use the fakes and misdirection to offset speed and size deficits they may face, at least to a certain extent. But I will say that if a team has a talented QB and receivers, they should throw it more and take advantage of that, since not everybody has that at the high school level. If Bowling Green and Trinity ran the wing-t, they would still beat most everybody else in the state, but maybe not by as big a margin as they do now. They have the athletes to run a passing game in a way that almost nobody else in the state can do consistently. They can jump on people quickly and get the game over with in the first half most of the time. That can be done and is done by some dominant running teams, but it is harder to do, and is usually only done when the running team has a great athletic advantage over its opponents.
I have enjoyed watching FS this season, but I still feel that they could have won some of their close games by even bigger margins had they come out throwing the ball. They have an accurate QB and fast receivers with good hands and good speed. I'm hoping they will come out throwing in the later rounds of the playoffs, especially when they know they are facing a team with a good to great run defense. It almost seems like they are throwing away possessions early and you can't afford to do that in the playoffs. Their defense has bailed them out so far, and the offense has shown the ability to come back late when they are behind, but it's better not to have to mount a comeback at all.
The first 2 sentences above explains everything! I understand why FS runs it now!

Me either! Hazard has the edge on both sides of the ball! Now they just have to do it!!
