  1. How many times have you seen FS play? It's obvious that you only look at is the box score. Russellville played out of their head the first quarter and then FS put it away. I'm not sure you know enough about either team to be able to make a clear prediction. FS is good and JC is good and the best team will win.

Your right! What would I know? No possible way I could know anything about FS! You obviously obtain enough knowledge about BOTH teams that you've got it covered!

  2. And you were also saying that your Tigers would do the same thing to Hazard this past Friday. We saw how that turned out. The Johnson Central staff and players know that this game will be a war and that it will go right down to the wire. I appreciate the support but some of these blowout predictions are just plain crazy.

Man enough to admit I was sorely mistaken! I hadn't seen Hazard any this year. Just knew they Lost to Pikeville and we handled Pikeville also knew we were REALLY GOOD! Only difference is Hazard knew us inside and out on offense. Like I've said. I watched a championship team play last Friday night! Hazard is LEGIT! Just as JCHS is! Some wanna bring up the Belfry game! Really? It's Belfry PLUS He@@ of a game! Russellville gets shutout by BW? Really? After Russellville gave FS all they wanted for the entire first half! That's kinda sad! Good thing you weren't playing little 1A BW! Woulda been lights OUT!! I can promise you 1 thing! This isn't 1A Russellville coming to BG!

  3. Yes it just one game. Common opponent. Beechwood will need to bring it A game Friday night. This year Beechwood alot more healthy then last year game. What time does Highlands play this weekend?

Yep. A lot smaller and younger as well! Way to much POWER coming BW's way this time! Their NOT stopping Hazards O. Best they can do is throw A LOT and hope they can match TD's and be the last to score.

  4. Beechwood and Hazard both played Somerset. Beechwood won 29 -7 Hazard lost to Somerset 33-15. Taking the Tigers 28-13.

If you think for a second that silly little factoid is gonna tell ya something your WRONG! Another fact Pikeville beat Hazard this season Paintsville beat Pikeville handily! Trust me those games can be thrown out the window. This IS NOT the same Hazard team that played summerset and Pikeville! The small line of the Beechies and small receivers although fast will be covered! Oh if you liked Pugh last year? We'll have fun with Corey Smith!! Good luck! These Backs from the East EAT!

  5. FS has trailed in three games.

Greenwood scored late to lead 20-17. FS won 24-20.

SW led 14-0 and 21-7 during the Sept 23rd game. FS won 30-24.

Russellville led 7-0. FS won 34-7.

SW led 7-0 in the 2nd quarter. FS won 33-16.

In the SW game last week:

FS drove 76 yds in 10 plays, 4:42 clock to tie 7-7.

FS drove 89 yds in 4 plays, 1:32 clock to lead 14-7

FS went 86 yds in 3 plays, 1:04 clock to lead 21-7

FS drove 42 yds in 9 plays, 4:56 clock to lead 33-14.

Sounds like FS is prone to starting a little flat then finishing strong. Hopefully they don't find themselves in too much of a hole to dig out of at the end!

  6. Look, no doubt that this Russellville team will be a formidable opponent. They have some very good athletes and are well coached, but, in saying that, outside of a couple of good opponents, their schedule was padded with some pretty weak opposition, so, I wouldn't get too worked up over that rushing stat. Plus, like a lot of 1a teams, they aren't real deep and play a lot of kids both ways, which could be to Beechwoods advantage. Russellville, in a lot of ways, reminds me of some of those Frankfort teams from a few years back.

Oh because Beechwoods competition has been SO strong this year!

  7. Taken a closer look at this I want to mention this..The staff at hazard has the experience being there but the kids don't. Paintsville holds the edge on the kids being there last year... Hazard has been to the state semis in 2007,2008,2009,2010,2011,2012 and now 2016. Hazard has held 3 state semi games and this will be the 4th and they are 3-0 at home. But on the road they are 0-3 but if u count the forfeit from the ineligible kid in Fairview game then it's 1-2 on the road but I just say 0-3.

    2008 Hazard 28 LCA 21

    2010 Hazard 31 LCA 30 ( played terrible )

2011 Hazard 57 Pikeville 35 ( Pikeville came ready to play)

    Away

2007 LCA 45 Hazard 21 ( beat them in the regular season by similar amount)

2009 LCA 35 Hazard 28 ( dropped tying pass in end zone)

2012 Fairview 40 Hazard 6 ( forfeited ) ( just flat out whipped and the injury to Austin Johnson showed defensively)

Paintsville was here last year and just fell short at home to the state champions from last year losing to Pikeville 42-23.

Paintsville is definantly looking for some redemption! Gonna be a great State Semi! Hazard used to the turf but I've always felt we play better in games on Turf. Courious to see how many times KP and Smith swap TD's! I know Smith is a Very tough RB to bring down but not seeing him in person how is his Break away speed?

  8. Have some stats for 3 games for Hazard.

Hazard has rushed for 1,221 yard and 18 Touchdowns.

Cory Smith has 902 yards and 13 of those stats

Hazard has thrown for 364 yards and 4 touchdowns.

Hazard has only threw the ball 5 times the last two games.. But from 3 games they are 19/30.

Running the ball that uncontested will end up being an issue for Hazard in this one and the Raceland game will be an advantage for Paintsville! Paintsville has been battle tested 3 times this year! Bourbon game and both Raceland games! All 3 have came down to one last drive or last stand! Hazard has cruised through the Playoffs all 3 games and that to me could be concerning! That's not Hazards fault you play who you play just believed it really helps Paintsville coming off that tough game with a team as good as Raceland! Corey Smith had his way last game, while KP had to earn every single yard he got Friday night! Think Hazard gets shell shocked by Hafetime!

  9. I am picking Paintsville to get the Win and advance to the 1A title game. I don't see how dead even any two teams can be than Paintsville and Raceland.... So, to all of the Tiger fans (and players), you guys guys got us twice on the final play of the game, one in an o.t. and as a competitor (still ticked off and hurting , :banghead: ) Raceland fan I am rooting for the Tigers in this one as well as predicting your Tigers...... Go out and win it all . :thumb:

    Paintsville by 2 td's

Thanks oldrambler, I still believe Paintsville and Raceland level of play is a step above in 1A at this point! Just like last year (up until the report) Paintsville and Pikeville were. We'll make our district proud this Friday night! The Tigers D is gonna bring the Bulldogs offense to a HAULT!

  10. They said Allens knee was bruised! No tear or sprain! So that's good news! Hard to take out the BEAST! Great game last Night #3. Also 22 was HUGE! had a Monster Block and great timed hit on the receiver to dislodge the ball! J. Allen had a big time defensive game with 2 pick's and Great Job to one of my Favorite defensive Tigers "NACHO"! D. Daniels one of the most disruptive LB's in the state!!

  11. This is definitely going to be a hard fought game. Size will be against Russellville during this game. However, speed and experience will be key for the Panthers. Beechwood has an solid defense and and very good skill players on the defensive side of the ball. The Panthers are going to have to do more than run between the tackles to win! It was an excellent game last year, and I think both teams are evenly matched this year! I give the edge to Beechwood because they are at home. My game calculator calls is 28 - 27 Russellville. I honestly don't know but it will be a show! Good luck To both teams!

So Russellville is actually smaller than Beechwood?

    Player size wise?
