  1. North Hardin makes the trek to Danville this Friday night to take on Boyle. The Trojans enter the game ranked #15 in 6A with a 3-2 record while Boyle enters as the #1 team in 4A with a 5-0 record. Last week North Hardin defeated John Hardin 40-14 while Boyle beat Bowling Green 35-21. Last season saw Boyle winning at North Hardin by a score of 49-6. Boyle leads the all time series between the teams 3-1. Both teams have a common opponent this season in Bowling Green. North Hardin lost to Bowling Green in the first game of the season 23-14 and as previously mentioned Boyle beat Bowling Green last week.

    Keys to the game:

-Boyle has to build on the progress the OL showed last week and continue to make improvements week after week.

-Boyle has got to clean up the penalties. Far too many false starts or offsides for the 5th game of the season.

-North Hardin has to stay balanced offensively. In their wins they were very balanced between run and pass and could keep the defense guessing. In their losses either the run game or the passing game was subpar.

-North Hardin must find a way to neutralize Quisenberry for Boyle. He finds a way every week to be an impact player and seems to be getting better each week as he gets comfortable playing in Boyle’s system.

It looks to be a great night for football this Friday! As always let us know what your take is on the game.

Bullitt East, my favorite 6A team @WestDanville, defeated Bullitt Central 43-0 Friday to take the Bullitt Cup.  The Bullitt Cup is awarded to the best football team of Bullitt County's three high schools each year.  Bullitt East beat North and BC each by the same score of 43-0.

Congrats to the Chargers on winning the Bullitt Cup !!!

Congratulations! Glad to see a Boyle alum doing well!

There is no data or gameplay to support that. To say “it’s not impossible” or “need to counties to improve” for BG to beat south Warren is indicating South Warren is a lot better than BG. There is absolutely nothing from this years teams to support that conclusion. Running up scores on bad or a lot lesser teams is meaningless.

Using CalPreps rankings for out of state teams.
    South Warren:

    Beat 5A #10 Highlands by 35

Lost to (TN) 6A #7 Hendersonville by 6.

Lost to (IN) 3A #2 Gibson Southern By 4

Beat 3A top 5 Paducah Tilghman by 33.

    Bowling Green:

    Beat 6A #15 North Hardin by 9

beat 6A unranked McCracken (who lost to PT by 40) by 35

Beat 6A unranked PRP by 27

    Beat 4A #8 or 9 Hopkinsville by 29

Lost to 4A #1 Boyle County by 14

So based on your logic neither team has wins that are worth counting because they came against “lesser” teams? Using your logic we should view SW as 0-2 and BG as 0-1 since the rest is meaningless?

Neither one of us said SW was a lot better. Just that we thought they were better and BG still has work to do as does South Warren.

Who said "far behind"?  BG lost by 31 to Boyle last year and I was very confident it would be closer this year.  BG lost twice to SW last year by an average of 27 points but SW, just like Boyle, doesn't seem as good as last year and BG seems to be improved.

To beat South Warren I think BG needs to play better than they did last night.  Defensive line doesn't seem as good as last year but QB is better.  I also really like Huddleston.  I personally would favor South Warren right now.  Just my opinion.  If yours is different that's great.

I’m with @BECharger on this one. The gap is closer than it was a year ago and BG must continue to improve to get back to beating South Warren. Not saying it’s impossible but I’d still take SW over BG at this point.
