  1. Great ballgame for both teams.Holy Cross's slappers and speed seemed to have made the difference as they answered Hancock run for run. Both teams were playing at a high level throughout the tourney and as the day moved along everyone knew there was going to be a rematch of last years championship game.It was really a great game to witness abd Hancock Co. proved they can compete with one of the better teams in the state.
  2. This could end up a rematch of last years championship game with Holy Cross facing Hancock Co..Lyon county could be the spoiler taking out Holy Cross.Lyon Co is very solid in every aspect of the game but Beating Holy Cross will be a monster challenge.Hancock County has been Class A runner-up 4 times and with a solid group of upper classwomen and some productive underclasswomen this could be the year They take home the Biggest Hardware
  3. Guess McCracken will rule the roost again or does anyone have a legit chance to dethrone them
  4. Wondering why such inconsistency for Oldham Co..With wins against powers like Holy Cross,Meade Co.,Anderson Co.,Mercy then have losses to Paul Dunbar,Atherton,Sacred Heart,Trimble Co.
  5. After seeing Scott Co. Play twice this year, although still a top 10 team,my opinion is that the odds of them repeating as State Champs are slim.As of right now if I had a vote they would be ranked 7th at best.
  6. 99% of high school players that go on to play college do not sign with D1 or D2 schools.Your probably right that if you are one of the highly skilled ballplayers,1 in 100, that'll sign D1 you probably got noticed on the top teir travel ball circuit. But if your saying D1 and D2 coaches dont read and research players during the high school your wrong. Some of the best competition in the state plays night after night across the state.I'm really just saying bookkeepers should be knowledgeable and honest. If not for just keeping fair and honest record books.
  7. Okay,Okay i get what everyone is saying, but!!!College coaches are just like me and you. They read newspapers, surf the web. They read in the Courier Journal that freshman Betty Boop no hits McCracken Co. they will take notice. They will ask mister Google who she is and find out she led her unranked team in wins,k's and era the year before. That grain of salt suddenly turns into a grain of sand and you know what that well placed grain of sand turns into.Maybe the Alabama's,Tennessee's and UK's wont take notice but many colleges will.
  8. Wow,looks like a few MNH's stars are chasing KHSAA single season records.HR's,2B's,RBI's.Tow pushing HR's and 2B's and Peyton chasing HR's and RBI's
  9. Meatpuppy for the most part you are right but mark my word, college coaches read the newspapers, check websites and pay attention to stats of players they may have seen at the camps and exposures. Some even go as far as getting subscriptions to some of the best newspapers in the state just for that reason.
  10. We all have opinions on whats an error, hit, pass ball or wild pitch but i honestly believe that its the coachs responsibility to put the book in the hands of a person that is knowledgeable of the game and can determine the difference.Stats are not just a way to get in the newspaper it is more importantly a tool for the coaches to determine how girls hit,field,etc..It's also a simple way to give college coaches an idea of a girls skills, although just a heads up,Creating bogus stats is not cool.
  11. Gonna be a great weekend with a lot of the States best teams, like to hear lot of talk about scores and matchups
  12. Like to hear some stats from around the state.Like HR's,hits,K's or team stats, maybe record chasing.
