Does anyone have any news from tryouts/practice?

I think you will be surprised by some girls that really improved this summer and some that didn't. I say look for list to change a little. Some obviously are very solid on this list and won't change!

What about Bree Smith? I heard she had a good summer!

Interesting, I heard some trinity alumni get upset every year because their son won't get an opportunity to play at Trinity because of the "recruiting" even though the kids are catholic and have loved the school for years. So much that some of those kids are going to St X. Not having one there I can't speak first hand however.

Did Holy Cross do that?

I guess I am just old school and don't like the way things are now!

Praise the Lord! With all the switching why not just play AAU all winter?

Having not seen all of them play I could not rank with any honesty. I have seen Berger and she has good skills and tremendous upside. A couple of them I think are ranked on potential. For a couple of them (and I won't name names) I think are DI talent but other thing would throw a red flag up for me, I have seen a couple of them play and have terrible attitudes, pout and are lazy. One I saw this summer wearing a tshirt with a marijuana leaf on it. They must really turn it on when DI coaches are around. What about the girl from Eastern, Natalie something, I thought she could shoot the lights out! I must watch a game this year!

The list is a work in progress, I saw a few AAU games this summer and there are some new faces that should be on the list and some on the list posted above that could possibly be moved off. The 7th region should be loaded for sure.

Who is the favorite in the 7th Region?

Sacred Heart up 27-17 over PRP at half

Sacred Heart JV survived a scrappy Notre Dame team last night on a shot with 1.4 seconds left by Cierra Scott. The Valkyries were led by Natalie Fichter with 12 points and Cierra Scott with 8. Notre Dame was led by Abbey Tierney with 15 points.

Sacred Heart freshman beat Bullitt East last night 38-29 led by Natalie Fichter's 17 points and 11 rebounds, Jenna Gentry led BE with 6 points. In the second game, Sacred Heart freshman beat Butler 35-19 led by Taylor Utter with 10 points and 8 rebounds. Avery Weaver played a solid game with 4 assists and 3 steals.

Having seen her play for the past couple of years it will be tough to replace her leadership and three point shooting.
